Emerson 2.8 Cu. Ft. doesn't automatically turn on after power outage

Check breaker. Was there a surge of electricity when the power went out. This may be a simple fix. Sounds like the breaker is tripped. Test the outlet with a light to see that power is to it.

First check that the house circuit breaker isn't tripped. If it seems good, unplug the machine and plug a lamp or something in to check receptical. If all seems good let me know.

Hello, Chose another powersource for your device. It is possible that you are tied into a circuit breaker that is constantly resettting. Maybe use an MP3 player for the trip and work on it when you get back.

Power trips with in two minutes of turning on the treadmill. I was told it's probably something in the motor? Any suggestions, would be appreciated.

Power trips...is it a GFI that is tripping? If so, verify that the machine is plugged in to a grounded outlet and cord. If the gfi outlet has tripped a bunch of times, you can try replacing it. They were not designed to have that many cycles of tripping and can get out of spec. If that doesn't work, unplug the unit, remove the lower cover and examine and reposition wires, particularly as they cross sharp metal edges. The wiring in this area is a bit hap hazard. And if all else fails, find a non-gfi circuit to plug into...making sure it is still grounded to keep you safe.
If the treadmill is tripping a circuit breaker, you need to measure the treadmill current draw to see if it is in spec...or are you plugged into a circuit that already has a significant load on it and your treadmill overloads the circuit. In this case, find a different circuit to use. If the treadmill amperage is too high...and the tread and belt tension are properly adjusted (not too tight), then the problem is likely the motor, which you can amp out separately to verify the need for replacement.

My toyota corolla 2006 model has the maint. required lights on. what does that mean?

It means your car needs an oil change, based on mileage. If you take your car to get the oil changed, they can reset the light for you. If you want the light off now, try holding in the odometer reset button, with the key on but engine off, until little dashes appear then one by one dissapear. This procedure may need to be done either on the odometer total mileage or trip A mileage or trip B mileage.

Step 1: Have car off.

Step 2: Push and hold in trip reset button.

Step 3: While still holding button in, turn key to ON, but engine off. Wait for the little dashes to appear and disapear. If it doesn't work on the odometer setting. before turning key off, switch to Trip A setting. If the procedure doesn't work on the odometer setting or Trip A, try Trip B setting.

Step 4: Turn key off. Then start car. Maint. required light should be off.

I've borrowed a friend's Garmin for a trip and when I use the car charger, it doesn't display anything. Once I disconnect, it becomes visible again. I'm going on a long trip and worry. ...

Assuming there is power at the cigarette lighter jack - turn the Nuvi off - then connect the charger. It should display charging battery or charging complete.
If nothing - does it charge with the wall charger? If so check the fuse in the car charger - it's usually in the tip of the charger which can be turned to get the fuse out.

My dishwasher doesn't start. When I press start button the light turns down and every appliances turn off. kindly advice if it is related to electrical system or not

If the main circuit TRIPS off the moment the dish washer is started , then it is possible that there is a heavy short within the washer.
To find out the reason you will need to discconnect the power to the washer, the disconnect the power to the controller unit, the motor and the inlet vavle. Using a multimeter you can checck for short in the circuit. If so isolate the circuit.
Now reconnect and see if the power trips, is so isolate one by one the circuit till you come to the failed component. It can be the power controller, valve, motor, capacitor or surge protector.

My outside Kelvinator central ac unit will not turn on. I hear a faint humming noise coming from it so it appears that it is getting power but won't turn on. My fan in the house will turn on and...

Its possible that the contactor that closes to start the outdoor unit is not pulling in and passing power. You are hearing the coil humming since it is getting control power. Also first check that breaker for outdoor unit is not tripped

NO POWER TO UNIT

Is there power to the outlet itself?? If not see if you have a GFCI (ground fault circuit interupter) outlet near by ( it is an outlet that is usually shaped different than the other outlets) this outlet has two buttons on it "trip" and "rest" press the "rest" button this may turn the power on to the coffee outlet. If still no power, check to see if the breaker in the house power panel is tripped, if so rest the breaker by moving the switch on the breaker to the "off" position then back to the "on" position. This should reset the breaker, it trips again there is a problem that needs a more skilled person to assess. If this doesn't work there could be a problem with the coffee maker itself and unless you have the equipment to test and repair this you may be out of luck.
