I was given a Sungale ID700WTA eReader. I have connected it to the computer but it does nothing other than say there is a mass storage device. It won't let me open or download to it. Help please It worked before it was given to me, she just upgraded.

Unplugging it should disable this on the tablet. Also a quick fix would be to reboot the tablet.

Solution: Use the Literati USB connection and the following steps
1. Plug the eReader into a charger
2. Download v2.0 of the Literati or Lookbook firmware from - http://download.kobobooks.com/firmwares/merchsource/2-0/KoboRoot.tgz , and save the file somewhere you will remember

• NOTE: Some browsers will download the file and rename it to KoboRoot.tar. The upgrade will not work with the .tar extension. If this happened with your download, please rename the downloaded file to KoboRoot.tgz

3. Keeping the charger connected, connect the Literati or Lookbook to your computer through the provided USB cable
4. The eReader will appear on your computer as a mass storage device
ON A MAC:

1. Open mass storage device in Finder

2 . Click GO from the top menu

3. Click Go to folder

4. Type in .kobo (include the period).

5. .kobo folder will open

6. Transfer the KoboRoot.tgz file you downloaded to the .kobo folder

7. Once the file has transferred, safely eject the eReader

8. Turn off the eReader

9. Turn on the eReader

10. The eReader will take up to 10 minutes to start up, please be patient and do not reset or power off the eReader in any way.

11. Once the eReader restarts, it will have the latest version (v2.0) installed. You can verify this by pressing the menu button, selecting Settings and looking at the Version number.
ON A PC:

1. Open mass storage device in Windows Explorer

2. Ensure hidden folders are visible (different for different Windows versions)

XP: Go to My Computer > Tools menu > Folder Options > View Tab > Advanced Settings > Hidden Files and Folders > Show hidden files and folders. Press OK all the way out.

Vista and Windows 7: Start > Control Panel > Folder Options > View Tab > Click Show Hidden files and folders > OK

3. Open .kobo folder in the mass storage window

4. Transfer the KoboRoot.tgz file you downloaded to the .kobo folder

5. Once file has transferred, safely eject the eReader

6. Turn the eReader off

7. Turn the eReader on

8. The eReader will take up to 10 minutes to start up, please be patient and do not reset or power off the eReader in any way.

9. Once the eReader restarts, it will have the latest version (v2.0) installed. You can verify this by pressing the menu button, selecting Settings and looking at the Version number.

You can connect you Archos to you computer by the USB cable which have came along with the tablet.
From tablet you need to choose mass storage device when you connect the cable. Once Mass storage activated you will see your tablet or SD card on your computer. You can copy paste or drag and drop songs from your computer folder to archos tablet Music or Media folder.

Your PC is seeing your camera memory as USB mass storage and this is OK. Nothing is wrong with this. Follow the screens and you will see that the computer will see your camera as USB mass storage, and when you open the folder on your computer the camera pictures will be there.
Windows is set up to see cameras as USB mass storage devices for simplicity, so your computer can accept pictures from any camera that connects by USB without needing special software.
If this bothers you, most cameras are sold with their own special software that starts when the camera is connected. Check your users manual and follow the instructions for installing or downloading the software.

Transfer a file between your device and your computer in mass storage mode
Verify that mass storage mode is turned on.
1. Connect your BlackBerry® device to your computer.
2. On your computer, double-click My Computer.
3. In the Devices with Removable Storage section, click Removable Disk.
4. Drag a file from one location to another.
To exit mass storage mode, disconnect your device from your computer.
Send a media file using Bluetooth technology
Verify that Bluetooth® technology is turned on and that your BlackBerry® device is paired with a Bluetooth enabled device.
1. In the media application, click a media type.
2. Click a category.

When connected to the PC it should be recognize as Mass Storage Device, if it doesn't, with the phone plug in, restart your computer. Make sure you have the memory card inserted in the phone. Once is recognize as new hardware found, the phone should prompt you for mass storage device, picture bridge, or comport.

hmm the problem is that either you do not have the suitable software ..or it is n't proper installed.....so the usb port makes the connection only to the mini sd card..which is seen as a removable storage device...
so...what you need is the Lg suit ...I didnt locate it ..but I assumed that your phone came with a instalation CD...cause on the net all you can find its probably a conection driver ..which I believe will do nothing but the bridge by cable ...try this one :

The quickest way to do this is to put your phone into Mass Storage Mode then connect it via the USB cable to your computer. Your phone shows up as a USB Mass Storage Device and you can select the folders you want to download your pictures from.

To set your phone to Mass Storage Mode, do the following:

- Go to the main menu
- Select Settings
- Then Select Phone Settings
- Choose PC Connections from the menu
- And then click on Mass Storage.

When you connect the USB cable to your computer, your phone will show up as a USB Storage device and you can just copy and past files to it like you would a USB Thumb drive. If you select the Samsung PC Studio option...your file transfers will take ALL DAY. Just use Mass Storage mode. Good luck.

Most phones are detected as Removable Storage devices or Mass Storage Devices. Try connectiong it to your computer using the data cable that comes with the phone or is sold seperately.

When it connect, Windows will recognize it. Go to My computer and look for a removable storage device or mass storage device.

Theres usually different folders on it. The one you need is propably called photo, picture or something similar.

Are you connecting your phone as a Mass Storage Device?

1. From the home screen, attach one end of the Motorola Original Enhanced USB cable to your phone and the other end to a USB port on your computer.
2. On your phone, press Yes to use the phone as a portable USB storage device.
   Note: When connected as a storage device the phone cannot perform regular phone activities. Disconnect to resume normal operation.
3. On the PC, open the My Computer window and find where your phone displays as a Mass Storage icon.
   Double click the Mass Storage Device icon.
4. Drag and drop files between your computer and phone.
5. When finished, remove the phone safely from your computer. Right click the "Safely Remove Hardware"
   icon at the bottom of your computer screen, then select "USB Mass Storage Device" and click Stop.
6. Select USB Mass Storage Device and click OK.
   Now it is safe to disconnect the cable. When the cable is disconnected, the phone restarts
