The only speaker "configuration" is hooking up red (+) wire of speaker to same on amp/recv. This applies to (--) wire as well

Why have 3 out of 5 speakers on my PC stopped producing sound even after configuring and updating drivers??

Sounds like a configuration problem. See this... http://www.logitech.com/en-us/support/224
Also, visit Control Panel/Sound, select your Default Device, and click "Configure" to verify that the configuration is set correctly.

press setup/configuration on your remote you'll get configuration menu, then goto 'speaker configuration' check if the subwoofer is on, check that front speakers and others are set as small. There also could be subwoofer mode settings, remember current setting and try to change it.

My speakers are plugged in, the error messae sounds are coming through the speakers but the sounds and audio devices say there is nothing plugged in and any media players say the same. I can't find any...

look in the control panel for sounds and audio devices, if the error sounds are coming through, then the speakers are working, leave them plugged into that port, check your speaker configuration setting try setting it to stereo speakers. It also sounds like you may have it set to 5.1 and are only hearing the rear audio channel. problem being your two speakers connected to a 5 - 6 speaker configuration. Again, solved by setting the speaker configuration to 2 speakers (stereo) . Let me know the outcome. Thanks

How to connect 5.1 intex speakers

your problem is you have a very nice 5.1 speaker set but you have not configured your system to use the 5.1 configuration.

if you are using the realtek drivers, then try to open the configuration panel,
and in the control panel try to change the default sound configuration to 5.1 surround sound configuration. then all your speakers will work.
hope this helps

Speaker Trouble

you must configure your notebook to works with it.
enter in the sound configuration (Control panel->sound)
there you will see speaker setup below, click advanced and choose the right configuration for your sound system. default will be two speakers or headset speaker.

also check if you dont need to configure the software that comes with your sound board, sometimes you must configure it manually.

also check the sound board manual and recheck cable connections, sometimes you must configure sound board connectors via software to work with more than 2 speakers.

hope it helps.

Windows 7 Audio Quadraphonic Not functioning well

Sounds like you are getting quad sound in the test process that checks them, yet when in windows media player or winamp (or whatever) your rear speakers aren't producing sound: Try setting your sound drivers to do something like "speaker fill" then you are set. I'm under the belief that stereo sounds aren't being matrixed into all 4 speakers.
