Hi niklok,

You have the thermostat hooked up incorrectly. Honeywell's directions are sometimes confusing. You should have power first to the thermostat and from the thermostat to the heater. You cannot have power running both to the thermostat AND the heater. That effectively assures a continuous ON situation. The black wire from the panel should be connected only to one lead from the thermostat.

If you need further instructions, please reply back with the number and color of wires coming from the panelboard and the number of heaters and the number and color of wires coming from your thermostat.

Thanks,

Handie Andie

Braemar spectrolink reset error 05

I had the fault code 05 (spectrolink controller) recently on a Braemer TG420 ducted heater. The heater would start and cut out on high temp as the room fan was not starting. I checked under the house and found the cable fitted to the return air thermistor had been chewed. I repaired the section of cabling and restarted the unit and it worked fine. Fault Code 05 is to do with the Thermistor in the return air duct.

We have a braemar chronotherm IV plus It turns the heating on and off after aproximatly 5 minutes we have replaced the fan and had a plumber here several times each time he replaces a part now he is...

What type of heat, electric, gas or heat pump, did anyone replace the thermostat recently? Did he replace the capacitor when he replaced the motor?
It sounds like either an airflow problem or a fan or limit switch, possibly the thermostat.

My ducted heater is not working. It fires up initially but when it comes time to run the fan it just goes into wait and stays like that. It is a braemar te430. Any ideas?

Sounds like the limit or fa switch. To be sure which one, e- mail the manufacture for wiring diagram or specs. Thank-you-very-much!
