Question about Exercise & Fitness
Completed workout on Spirit XT275 treadmill and pressed END button. Treadmill came to a complete stop and then went to full elevation all by itself. I have tried to press the DOWN button to lower the treadmill, but it does not respond to the elevation buttons. I have tried unplugging the treadmill, but when I turn it back on, I receive a message that says ''ELEVATION ERROR.'' Any ideas on how to reset the treadmill or how to regain control over the incline function?

Under the hood there should be a tech sheet with calibration instructions. I have not worked on these for several years or I would rattle off the procedure. If the sheet is still there make sure you put it back in the plastic sleeve for next time..... Eric

plug her back in, insert key, let her do her thing while u just sit back- I believe shes trying to Calibrate. If so, she will go up all the way, then back down on her own. after she's in down posistion, console will beep/beep and she has reset herself.. let me know what goes on after u do this. David

You may have a beltand deck problem. Test by the following procedure:
without the poweron stand on the walking belt, push the belt in the, direction it normally turns. If the belt is very difficult to turn (on most treadmill this means that you have high belt/deck friction I first apply silicone lubricant between the belt & deck to see if that clears up the problem. Most problems originate from the belt and deck 75 to 85% of the time
