Question about GE GSS25JFPCC / GSS25JFPWW Side by Side Refrigerator
We have a GE Profile side by side with ice and water dispenser in the door. When I try and dispense ice by pushing in the lever with my glass, loud banging noises can be heard from inside the freezer. I held down the door close switch and pushed in the lever. When I did this, I could see the ice maker jumping around on it's track in the freezer. Any suggestions? I really don't want to pay someone to look at it.

We had the same problem. Our frigerator is 1.5 year old. Everytime we try to dispence water or ice the dispencer clicks and the whole thing turns of. We had a GE repairman come by: the electronic board needs to be replaced: total cost $350. (cost of the board only: $150. We are considering disconnecting the dispencer by unplugging the board (according to the repain man the ice maker wil still work)or buy a new refrigurator (for sure NO GE!!!!!!)

The problem could be as simple as the door switch for the lights because the door switch when closed turns the control panel on. Or the problem may be the control board. WR55X129 Control Board Thanks, Sea Breeze

have two points where you can check the dispenser water. At the rear where the
water supply comes in is the water inlet valve. If you disconnect the dispenser
water line and then see if the water comes out when you try the
dispenser. If it's slow here there is a valve our water supply problem. If it's
normal, disconnect it at the bottom of the freezer door and try again. If it's
normal here it may be frozen in the door. If this is the case open the door
till it thaws. A blanket over the opening will prevent thawing of all the

This may be because the chute door is not all the way shut when off. If yes the warm moist air is being pulled through the opening and causing this. Sea Breeze
