Question about HP PSC 1315 All-In-One InkJet Printer

HP psc 1315 all in one installed with 1310 software. I just installed a black ink cartridge and now it doesn't print. Copying and scanning are fine, only the printing that's a problem. Already took out the cartridge and put it back in. Didn't work. It doesn't seem to register the alignment when I copy/scan the test page to align. I still get that I need to align the cartridges. What to do to get this to print again?

If it will copy fine then it should be able to print fine. First off have you gone to start>control panel>printers and faxes make sure that it says ready by that printer icon and that it is set to the default printer. If need be delete the printer from the printers and faxes folder by right clicking and clicking delete. then download the latest software from hp and try again. just follow this link and select your operating system to download the latest drivers.

Installed new hp black cartridge 56 ink but won't print


it shows if your using refill cartridge. & if you r using refill cartridge clear cartridge sensor with soft hands your problem would be resolved.

The printer 1310, won't scan after installation


First the printer is hp psc 1315 not 1310, my mistake.
I think the problem arose because of the order in which I was installing the cartridge. Instead of waiting for the printer to print out the test sheet, I was placing a test sheet, of which I have a number of copies, in the printer immediately after installing the colour cartridge and then pressing 'scan'. Nothing seemed to happen. I then tried waiting for the printer to produce a test sheet. This took a surprisingly long time. However after placing the test sheet which the printer had just produced in the printer and then pressing 'scan', the scanning operation was completed successfully. Problem was probably caused by my not reading instructions carefully. Roland Bishop

I put a refilled black ink in my HP PSXçC


the problem with the refilled ink is that the ink is NO WHERE near as good as the original HP ink and the ink cartridge is now damaged - just replace the cartridge with a new HP cartridge and you should be OK!

HP 1315 printing real slow


If there are a compatiable black cartridge
replace this cartridge with your old empty cartridge and print a test page (don't mind about printing of black )
If speed is correct,
then replace the black cartridge with another new cartridge.
(some time compatiable black cartridge not work properly to flow ink)

Hi saljcartagen, yes you can download the HP PCS 1310 printer drivers for free. There are two way to get these drivers. Left click on the HP link below:

Connect the printer to your PC/notebook & make sure the printer is turned on. From the link above. Step 1, click once in the empty circle to the left of " Download drivers and software (and firmware) ". In step 2, type in " HP PCS 1310 all-in-one ", than click the, Start Detection button. HP will scan your system & find your printer. Allow HP to run the scan. HP will than start downloading & installing the proper software for your printer.
Another way to download the software for the HP 1310 all-in one printer would be to left click on this next HP link:

Click on your operating system from the list provided by HP.
You can choose to Run the software or you can save the software so you can make a driver CD later. Create a folder on your desktop & name it HP PCS 1310. Download the driver software into that folder. The driver software is a *.exe file. You can right click on the *.exe file & from the pop-up list choose to uncompress here. All the driver files will uncompress within the HP PCS 1310 folder.
Or you can just run the *.exe file. Either way the HP PCS 1310 driver software will install its self.

Copier feature (Black or Color) only produces a Black page


I beleive you are not able to make a color copy, once try to scan from the computer or all-in-one to check whether the scanner mechanism is working properly or not, if the scan comes out fine then remove the color cartridge and clean the copper contacts of the cartridge with soft cotton cloth and also check the ink level of the cartridge, if the issue persists replace the color cartridge and if even the scan does not comes out good then there is an issue with the scanner mechanism.
