Hi there you need to remove the screws that keep the keyboard in place, look at the bottom of the laptop for two screws you they should have a keyboard symbol to identify them.

Probably yes, I would go directly to the Realtek site and download it direct from the source. Use the newest driver.

I am attempting to replace the Samsung rf510 keyboard. How do I remove the existing keyboard o replace it with the new one. As can be seen from the video, I have removed almost everything already

To remove this the fasteners are on the top. that pad above the numbers where your speakers probably are comes off. under that is three or four screws holding the keypad down.

Need to remove a keyboard from a Fujitsu model N6110 laptop to clean it from spilled wine. Which screws on back need to be unscrewed to allow this? And are there any catches on the front to remove?

remove-keyboard-fujitsu-laptop-800x800.jpg Remove the Keyboard on a Fujitsu Laptop

Fujitsu makes several series of laptops, with multiple models in each series. Some Fujitsu keyboards are attached with only a few tabs and can be removed with little hassle, but other laptops require more steps to remove the keyboards.
Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need

  • Flat, hard piece of plastic
  • 1Prepare a clean and organized workspace.
  • 2Turn the laptop off. Turn the laptop over and slide the battery switch to pop out the battery.
  • 3Turn the laptop back over and remove the keyboard bezel, the thin piece of plastic directly above the keyboard, by prying it up with a small flat object, such as a hard piece of thin plastic.
  • 4Lift up the keyboard and flip it over to rest on the mouse/palm rest.
  • 5Disconnect the motherboard connection by carefully pulling down on the two tabs on either side of the connector. After the connection is unlocked, gently pull the cable to disconnect it.
  • 6Remove the keyboard.
Tips & Warnings
  • Discharge any static electricity by touching a metallic surface before working with your computer, to avoid damaging sensitive circuits.

How do i remove the keyboard on a toshiba M55-S3314 laptop?

You will need to use a pocket knife, or flat object to pry up and remove the plastic strip above the keyboard first. I'm pretty sure it is held in place by pressure only, no screws yet (see NOTE below). Once this piece is removed, it exposes two screws that hold the keyboard in place. Remove these screws, and you should be able to lift the keyboard from the laptop. Be careful, as the keyboard is still connected to the motherboard by a ribbon cable that needs to be disconnected. Once you release this cable from the motherboard, you should be clear to separate the keyboard from the Toshiba.
NOTE, if you are having trouble removing the plastic strip from above the keyboard, flip the laptop over and remove the battery. Look for any screws that may be holding it in place and remove those first.

I ordered a new keyboard for my laptop gateway 7626gx how do I install it to replace the old one?

Not sure about your particular machine, but MOST of the laptops have a few screws from the bottom securing the little filler panel between the keyboard and the LCD screen. When removing screws be CAREFUL to note the length as they often have varying lengths and you don't want to put wrong length in any place. Sometimes the panels snap into place with plastic tabs and a gentle pry is needed. Above some of the keyboards one will find a couple indents for placing a screwdriver to gently pry the latches undone.

Once the filler is removed, there often ia a couple of screws retaining the keyboard by small tabs. After that there will be a very TENDER ribbon like cable which must be unplugged. Sometimes the connector has a little plastic thing to slide to unlock it.

replacing consists of reversing the order.

Gateway CX2620 Swivel Screen Laptop

This is the worst solution I've ever heard. This guy is trying to steer you wrong I'm pretty sure. There is zero point in removing all the screws from under the batter/ zero point to removing the area around the power button. Absolute BS. The only part to remove is the part just above the top of the keyboard (silver strip with some black). Then by removing that you can pry the swivel black plastic cover off. Whatever you do.. do not follow Scott's writeup here. I'm telling you. It's sad it's stayed up so long.. so had to warn.

I'm upgrading Ram Compaq R3200 laptop

Found my solution. Was under keyboard. Required opening laptop as far as possible, removing 3 screws from the back that hold the piece of plastic just above the keyboard. With flathead screwdriver lift the right corner of the plastic piece then, with the same screwdriver lift the top center of the plastic piece to remove the piece entirely. Unscrew the 4 screws that hold the keyboard (across the top) and lay they keyboard forward (toward you). THERE is the Ram.
