Well I don't see why not? This device has a USB port, and as such, one should indeed be able to plug in the camera, to the USB port on the PC, and hopefully, you will then, be able to "Mount" it as a "Drive" and then as such, you could Copy, Paste & Cut, any files you want. After copying to the HDD, you may wish to convert them to a format other than what they are natively saved as. so that your Apple software will "See" the Pic's and be able to show them.

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Dcr pc5 camera to computer connection

Your PC5 should have FireWire as standard, but Sony use a smaller 4 pin connector which looks a little bit like the tiny USB connectors on modern phones and still cameras. The main difference between the 4 pin and the standard FW400 6 pin, is no power is supplied to the 4 pin, so the camera must be powered from the internal battery or an external supply
The original Imacs came with such a cable, but you can buy these from various suppliers. It's part number F3N401-06 from Belkin or M8706G from Apple

I need the software for Macintosh Leopard operating system.I have had the camera for a long time, but I have just decided to use it. The software does not load in my new computer.

If you only need to download your pics, try using a separate card reader to download the pics to a folder you create on your desktop. Once there, you can import them to iphoto or anywhere else you care to.

Don't forget you will need a compatible USB camera to computer cable to transfer the pics to the Mac.

DOWNLOADING PICTURES TO COMPUTER

Usually your camera comes with a software program for processing pics on your computer. Some of them come with a SD card that can be removed from the camera and put on the computer with a sd card reader (very easy). You can try these, you may also be able to find a free software package that you may be able to download to transfer your pics from your camera (you will need a usb cable for this, cost about $10) Your user manual should have info about this too. Good luck.

My sanyo vpc-e760 will not upload my pictures to my computer

Does your camera have a removable memory card? (SD card, SecureDigital, CompactFlash, etc). If so, you can get a card reader at an office supply or computer store for 10 or 15 bucks that will plug into your computer's USB port. I bought one for ~$13 at office max that will read just about every digital camera memory type known to man.

Using software like Google's Picasa (www.picasa.com) on Windows or iPhoto for Macintosh makes importing photos from memory cards this way a breeze.

Sony Mavica CD400 -- can't get iMac to see mini disks

Bob: the Mac will never show what is on the disk.....and you don't hgave to finalize either. Do you have Image Capture on your units? If so, all you need to do is connect the camera via USB cable to the computer. The program will come on automatically (the camera has to be on), you can choose to download some or all of the pictures to a folder of your choice. HTH
