Our Philips 42 in LCD screen picture has recently become too big (words on the screen are cut off, etc). We have tried all of the ways to fix it that we can think of, but will admit we aren't very experienced at tv systems and fixes! Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

If you check you picture format. That should resolve the problem setting it to auto if that is not the case you might check the options of the tv and make sure they match whats on the back of the tv. or the diversity code for the panel thats in the tv itself. I havent seen this problem on the tv's i work on but ill keep an eye out.

Picture outside of screen limits

I have Time Warner Cable and just FIXED this problem. On the cable box remote, there is a button with the word "Aspect" on it. On my particular remote, this is the "#" button (pound symbol) and by pressing that button, it gives you options of "Zoom 1", "Zoom 2", "Stretch" and "Normal". By setting it to "Normal", it completely solved the problem. Oh and by the way, my t.v. is the LG 47" flat screen LCD. Hope this helps the other frustrated folks out there.

Philips 42PF7320A cropping issue

Pete,

When using a hd connection on a philips tv and (I am assuming this is the case) the tv disables the format features on the tv and only lets you select widescreen and automatic, if you are using hd adjust the picture size from the cable/satellite box, look for it in the box's menu system or on the remote, it is usually labeled, aspect ratio, zoom, format or something to that nature, hope I helped you
