I have a Jazzy 1101 that is showing is showing a right motor disconnect code (3 Red & 1 Yellow) I have checked all connections on the chair and have not found any to be loose or corroded. Several times after disassembling and reassembling the chair I have been able to use it for a short time before the problem reoccures. Also the right wheel is no longer as strong as the left side. Can anyone help?

    I am the person with the Jazzy 1101 problem. I am sorry to take so long to reply. I have had the flu and was not able to check the brushes until today. The bushes appear normal. No dust,cracks, or excessive wear. Before checking the brushes I turned on the control panel and everything was normal. As usual I don't know why. Thanks anyway. AJ

Hi. Sounds like a stuck or worn brush in the right hand motor. If one or both of the brushs are sticking, give it a light file on the sides of the brush until it slides in and out smoothly. Be carefull tightening the brush caps, as they can crack if tightened too hard, but they do need to be done up firm. Good luck. Neil.

What if the speed LEDs on the VR2/VSI begin to flash?

  • Determine if the battery charger is connected to the power base. When the battery charger is connected to the power base, a charger inhibit feature keeps the power chair from driving. This is indicated by the VR2/VSI speed
    LED(s) flashing.
  • Determine if the charger harness fuse has blown. A blown charger fuse can cause the charger inhibit to
    activate.
  • Determine if all controller connections are plugged into the power base properly. If the 3-pin charger
    inhibit connector is not plugged in properly, then the charger inhibit feature will activate.

Blinking yellow wrench light on pride jazzy 614 HD

Your version has a Dynamic Controls model controller and joystick.
Unplug the charger and engage the motor/brake lever so the chair is no longer in free-wheel mode (con't push by hand)
Turn the chair off, wait 5 seconds, turn the chair back.
If chair still does not run and your wrench is flashing you have a problem. Count the wrench flashes - the flash count indicates the error detected. 3, 4, 5, and 6 flashes indicate and error with the motors.
3=Left motor fault
4=Right motor fault
5=Left brake fault (may not be engaged)
6=Right brake fault (may not be engaged)
Any other fault code usually means the electronics or wiring is bad and not worth fixing.

I have a Jazzy 1103 Ultra and the lights are all on like it should be but the chair will not move. I am in Mississippi visiting my daughter and would love someone to help me. Thanks!

It could be a few things.
It might be on freewheel. To solve this: 1. Turn the chair off. 2. Locate the freewheel lever just behind the drive wheel, and on top of the motor. 3. Push the lever inward to engage the motors. 4. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the other side. 5. Turn the chair on and see if it works .
If not, it the circuit breaker might need to be reset because of heavy strain on the motors and batteries. To solve this: 1. Turn the chair off. 2. Find the circuit breaker on the front of the case, off to the right side (you will see a hole in the case) 3. Press the circuit breaker button. 4. Turn the chair on and see if it works.
if not, the battery may need to be disconnected and reconnected To do this 1. Turn the chair off 2. Release the friction lock lever under the seat. 3. Remove the seat. 4. Release the rear shroud fastener and the yellow fastener under the front shroud. 5. Remove the shroud. 6. Disconnect and reconnect the battery connector (the big plug) 7. Replace the shroud and seat. 8. Turn the chair on and see if it works.
If not, contact your provider.

Jazzy 1420 not 1170

sounds like the wiring from the motor to the controler is not making good connection, try unpluging motor wiring from controller box. Use a plastic safe elec. contact cleaner and lube spray on connections. water in the joystick can also cause this.
