Question about Toshiba 50H82 50" Rear Projection Television
I have a toshiba rear projection tv. When I turn it on the screen is completely scrambled and it take a good 10-15 minutes to warm up. Once the picture and sound come on, depending on the channel it may or may not be a good picture. The picture will go all scrambled or the colours get all screwed up. But when I watch a DVD there is no problems ever. What could this be??? Picture tubes or someone said the receiver, or just a really bad cable signal??? Any info would help..
This can be a fault in the tuner, IF, or primary part of the video processing. With age and use some of the parts, and especialy capacitors, in these sets can become thermo sensitive and unstable.
To service these types of faults can be very time consuming. On top of this would be the cost of the parts.
Considering the age and type of set that you have, I would suggest that it is time to be looking for a new set.
