Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
I was given a Tecra 9000 and want to use it to connect to the internet with a wireless router already installed on my desktop (with DSL). Can the Tecra 9000 do this? Or do I need to buy a wireless card/adapter? Everything I've found online indicates that the Tecra 9000 has built-in WiFi, but even with the WiFi switch on, nothing is happening.
This is a known issue with the tecra 9000 series Is your wifi device showing up in device manager??If it isnt then this is your problem this model has issues with your soundcard not showing up in device manager as well that is what mine is doing.I have seen by google search that is has to do with faulty I/O Boards

It's a wireless connection set up issue..in control panel, among last icons..follow that direction..should get you there.
