Question about Gateway Computers & Internet
The CMOS battery is normally located on the motherboard. Once you get the laptop open you will easily see the battery. Remove the main battery pack before opening it up. To replace the battery on most Gateway Laptops you need a thin blade screwdriver. Simply pry up the panel above the rear row of keys (Esc, F1-F10). This panel should come up with gentle force. Once inside there should be 2 or 3 screws holding the keyboard in place. Normally you can fold the keyboard back and see the CMOS battery which is round and looks like a battery for a watch.
