You should check your ground clamp.
Ensure that you have your electrodes set to the correct polarity.
Consult your manual for electrode -/+ settings.
I don't know your level of experience, so please understand, i am just checking all options.
Is the welding wire fed through the contact tip? Are your electrical connections secure?
These are a few items to start with.
Good luck.

Lincoln hd 140 barely sparks

Try switching the a,b,c,d back and forth a couple of times a corrosion builds up and causes a week contact so there isn't enough voltage to work . This has happened to me a couple of times . The first time the fan was running and I had no wire feed action and then a local repair guy told me that corrosion is very common with the portable Lincolns . You shouldn't even have to take it apart to clean it just switch it back and fourth and that does the trick. Good luck.

First make sure you have a good ground clamp and the line well tight to the machine. This problem is a common one.

I have a 2000 v star custome 650. i have a weak spark on the front cyl,and no spark on the rear cyl.if i bump the rear cyl coil i get a full spark. how can i fix this..

Hi, Don and the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Severely discharged or a damaged battery, should have 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
3. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
5. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting, leaking, spark plug cable connections loose check for spark leakage in the dark.
6. Faulty ignition coil or electronic control module.
7. Faulty CKP, CMP, or BAS sensor.
8. Faulty ignition switch.
9. Tilt sensor needs a reset.
10. Security alarm failing to disarm needs reset
