Question about E-Machines T6528 PC Desktop

1 Answer

5.1 vs. 4.1 speakers.

Sorry but now I'm perplexed.

I found a typical connection on the Soundblaster website and it showed up to a 4.1 system using TWO outputs, which the T6528 has and it shows them using THREE outputs, which the T6528 does not have for the 5.1 speakers.

I think maybe yours has a different onboard sound card?

I also feel that a 4.1 should do him just fine as this is basically for music and not gaming.

Thanks for your help and if I'm nuts please feel free to let me know.

I did see that Logitech has a speaker set that converts the two output setup to 5.1. I'm going to steer him that way.

Thanks for all of your help.

Hi, There are two ways to do the same. One way is : open the computer cover and remove the expansion card( sound card ) from the system and the audio would default to intergrated audio
second way is Click on start>click run> type devmgmt.msc> the device manager window would appear go to the option that says sound audio and game controllers, disable the soundblaster by right clicking on the same.

Volumn not working after moving to another room.

Make sure the speakers are connected to the correct jack (Speaker out Green, Mic In Pink)

Make sure speakers are plugged in and turned on.

If you have integrated audio built in to the motherboard, make sure Audio is enabled in the BIOS. If you have a soundblaster or other 3rd party Audio card installed in the motherboard expansion slot, then make sure integrated audio is OFF in the BIOS.

Download and reinstall sound card drivers from

I've just bought a desktop from Cube (the Polaris ST12) which comes with Creative Inspire T6100 5.1 speaker system. The connection instructions which come with the speakers show 3 cables from the subwoofer...

The blue is for a audio in and pink is the mic. Green is the audio out.
You will need to buy a new video card that has all 4-5 colors (green,,black, orange, blue, pink, white)
That way you can plug in all your connections and it'll work correctly.

Sound Card "This Device Cannot Start"

the soundblaster cards, usually have to set an interupt port IRQ.
This can sometimes conflict, with any other device connected i.e printer/paralel port.
I,d suggest, power off the computer. and remove the mains power cable. then completely remove the soundcard.
either try the card, in a different pci slot, if you have a spare.
or reboot the computer, without the card in at all.
shut-down, power off. re-insert the card and re-install.
also check, the on-board sound card is working correctly if applicable. you may have a conflict between the on-board and standalone ( soundblaster Card ) attempting to share the same driver or resources.
Finally check the motherboards jumper settings ( User Manual ) to enable/disable the onboard sound. if necessary.
And check the settings in BIOS.

Soundblaster Live! with Unintall Program with Cd inserted Error Number: 0x80040201 Description: An event was unable to invoke any of the subscribers. Setup will now terminate.

Maybe when you installed it the driver or the program of sound blaster is not finished or have an error. That's why you cannot uninstall it property. goto control panel add and remove software try uninstall the sounblaster. If still not remove completely try this, Click start, run and type msconfig in the startup and service look for sounblaster and uncheck all then try gain to uninstall . If still not working try to delete manually the directory of soublaster and also in the registry. Type regedit in run commmand and click edit, find and find what type soundblaster and click find next. If they found press delete and press F3 to find next directory or files until the search is finished. But be careful to delete only the soundblaster files and directory because if you delete some other files in registry is cause another problem in your systems.
