Question about Vacuums
I have a hoover wide path fold away vacume and it stopped picking up . I wanted to clean it out but cant figure out how to open the part where the belt is . Any suggestions

Generic problem for all Vacuums
I have a Hoover Fold Away, U5175-900
I have a Hoover Fold Away, U5175-900. Have had it for 4 months and from the get go; it has been extremely noisy especially with the attachments. Have a warranty but thought it might be a minor item I could fix.
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
I would advise that you take it to a authorized vacuum dealer as to he would be able to diagnose the problem better than I, you typically have a one year factory warranty with the Hoover Co and if there is a brushroll / belt problem or motor than it would be covered under the factory warranty other than the belt is NOT covered, it could be something that has not been tightened down or missing some type of gasket or a bad bearing or bushing. If you have problems contact the Hoover Co for a dealer nearest you, or look in the yellow pages for a vacuum dealer nearest you.
