Question about Insignia MP3 & Digital Media Players

My son has a insignia pilot 4GB mp3 bought at christmas 2007 the battery is no longer holding the charge. We have opened it but we cannot find any identifying marks on ,in order to replace it,can you help ? Dawn

Unit is Bad If its under a year warranty take it to bestbuy and get a replacement although they no longer carry this.

the same thing happend to mine i just left it alone the battery eventually went dead when i conneted it to my computer it charged and has worked ever since

I would agree with what the tech support agent(s) told you. What you are describing sounds like a bad battery. The Insignia® Piliot MP3 players have a one year limited warranty. For service you should take the MP3 player into your local Best Buy™ store with the receipt. The store will be able to assist you in diagnosing the problem and if needed having the item serviced or replaced.

Insignia Pilot 4GB MP3/Video (NS-4V24) No Longer Works


ok on the pilot i figurtred out there is a small screw being covered by a lil black piece. it looks to be a small plastic poece but it's just a lil cover stuck on. peal it off and unscrew it don't break it off to find out how to get to the battery(\like i did).

Hold the power button for a while. Then it'll turn off.
