ProScan PS32500 Will not stay turned on

I try to turn the TV on and it makes several attempts to turn on , making clicking noises, will not turn on.
The TV is 10 years old and I am wondering if it is worth repairing or not.

Ok, so I got a RCA remote from 1800-remotes for $40.00 that they said is guaranteed to work with the Proscan but do I need to reprogram the remote because it is not working.

Hello
Just try with these four digit codes. Proceedings are given below.

0031 0107 0015 0000 0162 0163

Direct Code Entry
  1. Press and hold the SETUP button until the red indicator stays on, then release the SETUP button.
  2. Press and release the desired Mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks, then stays lit.
  3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code tables. Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off. For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
  4. With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. Note: If some buttons do not operate your device, try one of the other codes for your brand.
NOTE: Switch OFF and switch ON the tv with its front panel power control switch [NOT BY REMOTE CONTROL HANSET] before each try.

Clicking sound in back of tv when you try to turn it on

Hi,
Sounds like this could be a dry soldering joint in the TV power circuit. This can easily be repaired with a small soldering iron and soldering wire.

Best wishes,

Sony TV works briefly then turns off by itself makes a click

It's serviceable, and will need service on either the thermistor that is turning the set off, and/or the parts of the circuit that are overheating the thermistor.

Loud buzzing noise when turning on

It sounds like a bad internal connection or a component failing. If the picture still is very good take it to a known good repair shop.

32" proscan dual hd tv can't get universal or direct tv remote to work what now

Get a universal from big box and program. If you can find a rca remote, it should be programmed already.

Proscan TV

Maybe, but I would first go into menu and look at audio settings and make sure speakers are on internal and not external or turn off.
Also just unplug for an hour and restart unit. Lastly, it may be cheaper to just attach a 100.00 surround sound system for audio.
