How can you reset a siemens rde20.1 underfloor heating system? temperature has hit 30 degrees and won't turn down?

I had an RDE20.1 stuck on and temp reading 28.5. Fixed by first replacing battery (battery symbol was on), then changing the desired temp to above 28.5 (30) which made it switch the relay on (triangle came on, but no clunk), then set desired to below 28.5 (10) which made it switch the relay off again (triangle off and this time the successful clunk was heard!). Worked fine after that.

Before giving solution, my humble advise not to try to remove ice by harmer or any tools. With help of heat torch you can remove. Now the solution is :
No need to replace complete set. Yes little costly expensive. Call repairman, he will arrest leak by brazing material and then vacuuming and gas charging.

Is it helpful?

check your circuit breakers to see if the floor is getting power to it. Consult your operation guide to see if there is an internal fuse.
