Hello tosaboerboel,

First make sure that you DVD is indeed a writer and not just a player :)
Secondly, make sure the media you are using to burn onto is appropriate for your DVD writer. For example, you can't burn a dual layer DVD with a regular DVD writer.
Lastly, make sure your DVD burning software has the latest updates or is the latest version and appropriate for your OS.

Should you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here.

P.S. Before you assign a rating, please make sure that the issue is resolved. If it isn't, please post back as to what you did, and/or any other questions you may have, and I will try to assist you as best I can. Please do not assign an ‘Inappropriate’ or ‘Thanks for trying’ rating if your issue is not resolved after the first response itself, as sometimes a bit of to and fro dialogue may be necessary before we can find a fix or an answer to your query.

If you find that the solution/answer I provided led you to, or resulted in a fix, please close the ticket with a FixYa! or Helpful rating. I would be very grateful for your show of appreciation.

Thank you for using FIXYA!

If the card does not meet minimum requirements, then it is probably outdated and you will need to get a newer one that meeets the minimum requirements...

I´ve a toshiba Satellite a215. How can I get the recovery disks?

As far as many of us know, you has to buy the recovery cd, but, instead of going to all the trouble, since you might has to either call or contact them via e-mil.

Since you already clean the system, why not go to the site and download all the drivers for your specific system, is very simple, and you get to load just the programs you need.

Drivers are a must, here is the direct link, choose download then choose your system > system model>"GO"

the next page would be all of your drivers, you can use your other system or a friend, put then on a flash drive or burn into cd.

Before you do any driver install, you should make sure you are connected to the internet, and do the windows update, as there should be new drivers for your system.

You should also do an "intel INF" update if not provided at the toshiba site, use google and downloaded it, make sure it applies to your system.

After you done the inf update and windows update, now you install all of the drivers and utilities that are available to you at the site.

sorry can't be of more help, below is the link to the site

Display Problems

Read the Minimum system requirements from the box or manual, there should be a section refering to video card minimums. Make sure your card meets or beats them, also it should indicate the video mode you need to use as a minimum (eg 1024x768... 600x400) make sure your display is in that mode or better.

Aspire M1641 - can't play games (super slow)

There could be several reasons that is so:
  1. The PC may not meet the minimum requirements for the game. These include screen resolution, graphics card, memory, sound capability.
  2. The graphics card may not meet the requirements of the game - memory, graphics rendering capability etc.
  3. The operating system may not meet the requirements of the game eg ActiveX, DirectX etc. All these are related with graphics/display capability.
Please check the MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS for the game and make sure your PC meets these.
All the best!

It seems like your video card does not meet the minimum requirements for your game. The documentation that comes with your game should tell you what the minimum specification is in order to run the game successfully.

How do i install new memory in my Toshiba satellite A215-s4757

Remove the small vented cover on the bottom of the laptop. Gently pull on the small metal clips on each side of the memory module. It should spring up to about a 45 degree angle. Remove the old memory module and replace it with the new one. Make sure the small metal tabs snap into the small grooves on each side of the memory module.

My Cd-Rom/DVD-rom don't work. It doesn't open any folder. I thought I have problems with drivers: SCSIVAX DVD/CD-ROM SCSI CdrOM DEVICE DVD-ROM SD-R2102 TOSHIBA LAPTOP SATELLITE 5005-S507 THANKS, OSCAR

According to the Toshiba website, the scsi cd-rom/dvd-rom does not require a driver to operate, but the driver for the scsi controller card it plugs into may need to be reinstalled or updated. Visit the following link, and go to the section labeled scsi cdrom/dvdrom. At the bottom of this section there are two links to websites where you may be able to find the drivers for your scsi controller card.
