Question about Olevia LT27HVX 27 in. LCD Television
Let's verify if it is the remote problem or the IR receiver in the TV.
Testing remote control:
The remote control puts out IR (InfraRed) signal that human eyes cannot see, to find out if the remote is sending out the signal or not you just point the remote at the digital camera’s Lens (Digital Camera can detect IR), you should see flashing light on the camera’s screen when any one of the remote button is pushed. If you do see the flashing on the camera, then the problem is in the TV IR receiver or the main logic board; more troubleshooting with scope will be needed to look at the signals.

Try Remotes.com to buy an original or very close compatible remotes.Not fixable,the remote control a small and compact PCB intergrated circuitries design.Very common problems,are slow dying functions one by one functions.The channels,sound and power buttons functions,most of the times are the last death of the remote controls.U can tries take the remote control aparts and take some Q tips dips it in with some rubbing alcahols.Clean the PCB circuitries and inter plastics fillerments contact.Sometime it work and can save the remote,if the CPU Processor doesn't have a short and starting dying already.
