Question about Samsung RB215LASH
Ice Maker was turned off for about 8 weeks and was working when we turned off. Turned back on and ice tray has not filled , checked water supply input into their pipe and water is their. how do I trouble this problem I have a Mdl RB2155BB and left the icemaker off for about 6 weeks. The solution to press the restart button caused the tray to dump, but did not refill. My refrig has a special water supply tube (you can recognize it by the braided stainless steel looking exterior) that has an automatic shutoff if there is a leak. I reset this tube by disconnecting it from the valve and then reconnecting it. Tried another ice maker reset and got water plus several pieces of ice. One more reset and all was fine. It seems that for this model Samsung, I would not recommend shutting the ice maker off for more than 3 weeks. Refrigerator purchased 2/18/08. I didn't have a water line in place at the time so I left the ice maker turned off. After installing the water line on 4/19/08 I turned the ice maker on but absolutely nothing has happened after 2 days.
I also used a hair dyer and thawed the line behine the ice maker. Pushed the reset button and ice came out of the line into the tray. Pushed again and water filled the tray. It is now working, but for how long.
