Using a different power adapter may mean a different voltage and amps input which you need to be careful here as you may cause permanent damage. When you plug the diferent adapter, is there any signs that the battery is charging? Normally a light goes on when these units are on charge, if not then it is not charging at all and your battery has not got enough power to supply to the pc.Hope this helps.

Hi there.

Is there any sign of power? Have you checked another compatible power adapter? Also did you use a different power outlet?

If there is no sign of power reaching the unit I would suggest contacting the original manufacturer of the device.

I post on behalf of HP.

Wii has no power

The Wii console won't power on, and the Power LED is unlit
The console powers on, but shuts off after a few seconds/minutes
Attaching an accessory to the console turns the power off

Information:

This issue can be caused by an accessory or power surge tripping the circuit breaker on the AC Adapter.

What To Do:

Check any accessories attached directly to the console to make sure that it is licensed and undamaged. Unlicensed or damaged accessories shouldn't be used with the console.
Try using a different wall outlet, or plug a different device into the outlet to make sure the outlet is providing power.
Perform an AC Adapter Reset. (How To)

Situation Not Resolved:

If the system still won't power on, the system and AC adapter will need to be repaired. To start the repair process, click here.

Power will shut off in just 2 seconds

Make sure you are using the CORRECT power adapter. One with too little current capability will demonstrate your symptoms. Bad connector for power can be another cause. Wiggle the power connection to see if it makes a difference.

Power adaptors/ travelling/ aptop

Yes, it is a switching power supply meaning that it automatically detects 120v (US) or 240v (EU) voltage. The only thing you might need is an adapter to convert the actual plug in from US to EU standards; they can be picked up for just a few dollars.
