Question about SanDisk Sansa E280 MP3 Player

Transfering Music problems

I had recently fixed my last problem by downloading the newest firmware or something from the Sandisk site. Well, after I downloaded it and my Sansa was updated, i went to put some more music on it. Usually I had been hooking it up to my computer and syncing with Windows Media Player. I had no problems in the past, but after i had updated it, I can't get music from WMP to my sansa. When i try to use the media conveter, I go to the folders with all my music in them, and they're empty. I have no clue what's wrong it it. Can anyone help?

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx

Sansa View won't transfer music

Hello, robmshaw. I'd be happy to help! From the information you provided, I don't see any critical problems, I would just advise you to visit the site below and download these firmware updates. They will look for your Rhapsody application and your Sansa's newest available downloadable software which would probably problem solve the problem of you not being able to transfer your music. If this fails, I would recommend maybe looking to see if your computer's firewall option is on. Having this on would prevent you from transferring any content from your computer to the mp3 player. If it is on, try turning it off and see what happens. I hope this helped! :)

Nothing I can say, but try downloading the newest firmware, from the sansa web site. This will most likely fix the problem.
