COBY DVD-224: NEED THE CORRECT CODE FOR PHILLIPS UNIVERSAL REMOTE

Use code search to find something that works. If a search through all codes contained in the remote fails, you may have to try a different universal remote. All universal remotes do not contain all possible codes.

You need an OneForAll6 remote (URC 7560)

1. Press DVD device button (set remote to DVD)
2. Press and hold MAGIC until it flashes 2x
3. Enter Setup Code (0539)
4. Press MAGIC again
5. Enter 085
6. Enter 222 222 005 255
7. (should be displayed)
8. Press PLAY

You can usually look up your universal remote manufacturers' website, and they'll have a listing of all the codes for the remote.

There are no universal codes for any of Coby's DVD Players.

Traditionally, universal remotes do not work with COBY dvd players. The fact that you've found one that works at all is surprising. There isn't a true solution to your problem, however, because Philips created the coding for that remote without any input from COBY. The only thing you can try is a different COBY code if there is one in the code section of the book that came with your Philips remote.

I sucessfully programed the AUX button on my Cable remote to my Coby DVD player (model DVD-227) using code 21107. You can also try these codes: 20778, 21086, 21351.
