Well, long story short, About 3-4 months ago i droped my Apple Ipod Touch into a bowl of soup. Ive tried rice, hair dryers, and everything else and its still not working. Is there any way that i can have it fixed so it wil work again?Or maybe trade it in for money? Thanks for your time
Well, certainly there's a good chance you can get it repaired. First, I would take it to Apple Reseller first, not a backyard Consumer Electronic Repair shop. Take it to an Apple Reseller who will ship it out for repair most likely. They usually will charge you a flat fee of around $85 at first, then after the actual problem has been found, they will give you a more precise firm estimate.
It is possible the inner circuits have been damaged beyond salvage, but you'll never know until you ship it out for repair.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

When I make chicken soup I MAKE ALOT. So I will condense this recipe down to 4 servings. I use white and dark meat, so her we go: 3 chicken br**sts or 2 chicken br**sts and 2 thighs. Boil your chicken in a large pot, with 30 ounces of chicken broth or stock. When done take chicken out and add 2 diced medium carrots, 2 diced celery stalks, and 1 small onion. Boil the veggies until the carrots are tender. Some people like to saute the veggies in oil before they go into the soup, but I like doing it this way...it's your choice. And now you can cop your chicken or shred it back into the broth. Add 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper to it. If you want to add rice or noodles to your soup I suggest cooking them first until they are done then add them to your soup. Both of these ingredients take up the broth when they cook. You will end up with a mess and not soup. The noodles may end up mushy and the rice will consume all of your broth and it will eat more like a casserole than soup. If you want to add rice, add 1/2 cup of raw rice but add another 32 ounces of broth, same with 1 cup of noodles, but make sure the broth is boiling good before you add them.
Most important thing...
DO NOT TRY TO TURN IT ON!!!
This can short circuit the ipod!
Make sure it is off!
Your lucky because the iPod hasn't shorted yet
Don't switch it on again!
I will teach you what to do...
You must remove the water from the iPod
Firstly Be sure that the iPod is off...
Now your going to have to open the iPod
This video will teach you how to open your iPod touch 2nd Gen
How to open iPod 3rd Gen
Now clean out all the water.
You can use a hair dryer to do this...
But make sure that the hair dryer is blowing out COLD air
Leave your iPod open for a while to dey out the remaining water
Now put the iPod back together
Leave it for an hour or so
Switch it on...
There is another way...
This way is easier and has worked for many people
First fill the headphone jack (where you plug in the ear phones) with WhiteOut (yes WhiteOut!!!).
Leave it for an hour or so
Use Nail polish remover on a cotton bud to remove all of the WhiteOut.
Let it dry before turning the iPod on.
first off DON'T try and turn it on get a bowl of dry rice and bury the ipod in it and let it sit for a few days check it every day and if the rice is wet this is good its absorbing the water and change the rice out, with any luck this will dry it out completely DON'T try and turn it on until your 100% sure its completely dry hope and pray that this works if it doesn't then sorry
