Timer set on remote, cancels out after use

Mitsubishi Air Con MSZ-GA60VA

Why does the remote drop the timer settings after the first operation? Other brands will retain the timer settings and enable the timer to operate over a 24 hour period. Am i reading the instructions incorrectly? If not, can I get a different remote that will do what I want?

I have discovered that a 7 day timer is available, but it is a fixed and separate box and will need to be programmed into the wall unit, at a cost of $500.As i am a pensioner and unable to afford this cost, I must persevere with the remote I have. Why can't the so-called experts provide a top of the line product in the first place? The last aircon unit I had was a Fujitsu, and that DID Have a very good remote enabling a programme of ON - OFF, On - Off in a 24 hour period. Thanks for trying to help.

When we turn on one of the air conditioners, a musty odor comes out of the blower. All the other air conditioners in the house are normal

Some times water will not drain out right need to clean the drain pan, blower wheel will also catch dirt and build up mold. The front cover should come off easy, there should be three screws on the bottom and it should pop right off after that, exposing the pan and blower wheel . Clean as needed.
