    Yellow goes to battery (direct power for memory) Red wire goes to ignition so it only turns on when it gets power when key is turned on.

How to switch on DEH 2250UBG car sterio?

There should be a source button on the face. Press it and the radio should turn on. If it doesn't then something else is wrong. Then you would need to make sure the red and yellow wires are getting power to them.

When i preset my radio stations 1-6 while the power is still to the system memory of stations will stay but when the car stereo power is turn off for any amount of time and sterio is turn back on all...

Make sure the yellow wire is connected to a source that still has voltage when the key is turned off. The yellow wire controls the memory of the deck.

The only way mine will come on is if i connect the yellow and red wire together which makes it stay on how can i fix

Hi,

This is a car audio video unit
So to connect this unit electrically, they usually require 3 wires for power for it to switch on.
  • The thick black wire is a earth or negative wire, which connects to the negative side of the battery or to the body of the car.
  • Then there is a red and yellow wire.
  • The thicker of the 2 wires red or yellow is constant 12volt power, which should be connected to the positive side of the battery or to constant 12volts in the car wiring plug.
  • The other red or yellow which is the thinner of the 2 is a accessory wire, which means it has 12 volt power only when you turn the key to accessory or motor running.
  • So yes both RED and YELLOW require power for the unit to be on .
  • This is for radio station presets so it doesn't loose memory when you turn the key off, otherwise every time you turn the key you would have to store your stations again.

I hope this helps you.

well it depends on the car, if its a sunfire, theres a yellow wire that connects to the red wire that connects to the sterio, that yellow wire goes to fuse box maybe the power is constint the only way to fix that is to hock the red on sterio to an ignition source,

How to set demo off in Pioneer AVH 4150 I Wanna conect the two wires ...red and yellow directly to 12 volts permanent but the demo still work and drawn my battery

im not sure what you mean by demo, but the yellow wire goes to the battery, the red one needs to goto a power source that only comes one when you turn on the key to start the car. with both yellow and red connected to the battery, the stereo stays powered up and will drain your battery. the yellow is only to keep your settings so it doent draw very much power from the battery, with the red connected to the battery also, its drawing a full 12 volts thus draining your battery,

JBL CS60.2 Car Amp is fitted to new sterio but stays on 247 regardless weather the car is on/off or even when sterio is off... so stays on during the night ¬¬

The blue wire to your amp (remote signal wire) needs to be connected to the red power lead for your deck. Right now it sounds like you are connected to constant power on your signal wire.

Wires

red= accessories power on
yellow= power always on memmory
black= ground
blue white= amp switch this goes to amp
blue= power antenna
the other wires are speaker wires top is for the fronts
the bottom set is for the back speakers this is simple
suggestion if you dont know the wire hook up i suggest taken the wires and sterio to certified car sterio installer pay 5 bucks and have them splice the wires together for you so you dont screw up your vehicle wireing or your sterio this is crucial

yes the memmory and the red power wire are direct connected to the power take to certified sterio installer and have them put the wires to the right places
yellow is all time power wire
red is accessory wire doesnt need power while key is out
black ground

remember to check your alternator and battery

Have you measured the 12v ignition and permanent supply?
Also check the earth.
You will need a tester for this.
Check the fuses
