Try to re install the camera software that come with cd that included when you bought it. Maybe there is a corrupted or complex to the other software installed. Also check if the usb cable or port is working properly. Maybe the the usb port in your laptop is only usb1.0 and your camera usb is 2.0 . That's why the laptop cannot recognize the camera when you connected. Try also to use to other computer the camera if is working the problem is in your laptop.

Can,t figure out how to download pitcures did it before on old laptop it was very easy .now we have a accer lap top and can,t seem to get it going.

Hi kev deck...
Most laptops today have a card slot built into them...if yours does not then you will need something like this card reader found on ebay...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/23-in-1-USB-2-0-Memory-Card-Reader-SD-SDHC-MS-CF-MMC-XD-/270714812830?pt=PCC_Drives_Storage_Internal&hash=item3f07dc399e
You can get them anywhere,KMart,Walmart,Target,internet,etc.
After you have obtained one if yours is not built in, then you will insert the end of the cord into your usb port on your laptop...then will insert your memory card into the card reader. Meanwhile right click on your desktop and make a folder to put your pictures in and you can name that folder if you wish to...when the card reader reads the card it will open a window and ask you what do you want to do with the pictures...that is when you will highlight the pictures and drag and drop them to the folder you just created..Now they are on your desktop in a folder...enjoy them.
Please take time to rate me 4 thumbs up

No power to my gateway m-6750 lap top. Have been

Hello,

First use the following steps:

1 Disconnect the battery and the charger
2 Let it sit for 1-2 minutes.
3 Press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds.
4 Connect the charger (don't connect the battery yet) and try to start by pressing the power button.

If everything remain same, check the charger with a multimeter and match the voltage output with its specs.

If the charger is good, then there can be some problem with the DC jack (where you connect the charger).

Thanks

Where do i insert a memory card into a gateway md2614 laptop

It depends what type of memory card you are referring to.

USB memory will plug into the USB ports on the left side of the laptop.

If you are using a Memory Sick, Memory Stick Pro, Mini Secure Digital, MultiMediaCard, RS_MultiMediaCard, Secure Digital (SD), or xD-Picture card they will go into the memory card reader on the left side of the laptop about 2 inches from the front of the machine. ** NOTE: this is the bottom slot.

If you are using a Type 54 ExpressCard it will also go in on the lfetside but this slot will be above the Memory card reader slot mentioned above.

Good Luck! :-)

Replacement video card gateway mx 3210 notebook

Unfortunately you have a lap top and the Video card is built into the motherboard. You have two choices. 1. Send the unit to Gateway and have the motherboard replaced, expensive and time consuming. 2, Replace the laptop with a new one, expensive but most likely a better solution.

Mass storage controller driver for gateway mx6421

A 'mass storage device' is any device on which files can be stored (HD, Memory card, thumb-drive etc.) so that controller is not for the USB ports as such, but may indeed be for a storage device that plugs into a USB port (card-reader, external HD). For a laptop, it may be for a built-in card-reader which is connected internally to the USB bus.

Go here and enter your laptop's serial number to be sure of getting the proper drivers specific to your machine, as you may be trying to use the wrong driver. Only by entering the serial number can you be sure of getting the correct files:

I have a gateway 3250GZ laptop, the DC in jack

http://forums.whatthetech.com/DC_Jack_Laptop_t105164.html

double check your power cord! i just went thru 3 days of troubleshooting my Gateway M6318. Thought it was my dc jack.... after tearing down my laptop... finding the jack in tact, soldering in tact. testing my power cord... off and on for 3 days.. it was reading 19v.. which is what it should... but as of today began zero reading on tester. Tomorrow I will buy a new power cord to see if this was the correct problem... wish i would have found the above reference site before all the other troubleshooting i had done... tearing down my lap top, pulling, tugging, twisting my power cord to get a good charge.... etc. hope this helps!

Downloading pictures onto computer

There are Three primary ways to do this...

1. use a (usualy supplied) data cable... normaly a USB cable... it connects to your computer/laptop , Use a Photo utility program to "find" the camera. You should be able to view the pics stored in the camera.

2. If the camera pics are stored on a sim card then simply put that card in a multi card reader... (very inexpensive to purchase and standard on some late model PC's) and in most cases you can pull the pics directly from the card.

3. Take the camera directly to walmart or walgreen's photo station and they usualy can pull the pics directly from it.

give me some more info and I maybe able to give detailed help...
mod# of camera and what model/make of your PC.

Place for a memory card from digital camera to

It does not appear that this laptop has a media slot for you to put your memory card into. So you can use the USB cable that came with the camera - but I find that it is always very slow, and uses up the camera's battery pretty quick.

So you may be better off getting a USB media reader. you'd remove the memory card from the camera, put it into the slot in the reader, and plug the reader into a USB port. In My Computer you'd see a new drive pop up, and you could click on the DCIM folder, and then the 100XXXXX (where XXXXX is the name brand of the camera, or some portion of it) folder, and you can then cut and paste your pictures to the computer. If you Cut instead of Copy, it deletes the pictures from the media, so that when you put it back in the camera, it is blank and ready to take more pics.
