If you are getting that message and the prints and copys still look good , just do this.
Press # * C * and that will put the machine into diagnostics.
Enter the number 24 and press start, That will get you into maintenance resets. Then enter 06 , press start, then while still in 24, press 7 and it will reset the developer. But 24-06 and 24-07 should clear the count and return the machine to normal. The developer and drum will normally run longer than indicated by the counter.

Did you clear the counters for the drum and developer FIRST if not get a new drum and new developer as both are replaced at the same time. As the machine uses the counters to determine a a new unit and adjust certain voltages to certain units accordingly. Other wise machine thinks it is old when it is new and causes image issues and codes

Did you clear the counters before you replaced the drum and developer? If not Replace the drum and developer again. This time clear the counters for the drum and developer before. This done as such

Have you had the developer and drum replaced or does the screen say Replace PC Drum? There are certain house chores the copier does before "Ready to Copy" it is waiting for them to get done equals "Please Wait". One big item is making sure the developer and toner are properly mixed inside the image unit underneath the drum. Might want to have the developer replaced and drum/cleaning blade normally done all together, then run the F8 procedure and make sure the counters where cleared Did you recently replace the drum and the developer if so did you clear the counters for the drum and developer. IF not then the copier thinks the new drum and new developer are old. Copier works on the counters that how it know it got a new drum and developer. Get new develop and new drum and have it installed correctly, Counters are clear before the unit is yanked out of the machine, then you remove the image unit/drum unit replace the developer/drum and cleaning blade. (DO NOT USE AVACUUM CLEANER WHEN REPLACING THE DEVELOPER static electricity can destroy the sensor located below the developer unit. Then reinstall and RUN F8. Make sure the fax line and Ethernet cable is removed can't print anything until the F8 is run. Or you start over with new developer and new drum

How to clear counter of Minolta bizhub 163.At present its showing ERROR "MAINTAINANCE CALL 2"

Need to have the drum and developer replaced first. Then clear the counter. Not replacing the drum and developer and resetting the counter will cause image problems and codes due to the fact the copier uses the counters to determine voltages to certain units. and is the only way the machine has new parts. You reset the counters and not replace the parts, then the voltages will be set for new parts when in fact parts are old.
