Briggs and Stratton GenPower 11 generator cover plate ???

well theres two ways to obtain this carb, one is to go to porter cable site and look up model number and scroll down to parts then over to engine then to carb . this then can be ordered right from porter cable , the other way since this engine is made by briggs and Stratton , if you look at valve cover on left side there are numbers stamped into cover there, use this number on briggs site to cross over and find exact number for carb in parts , then simply obtain part from a briggs distributor !!

The alternator (P/N 592831) should put out around13-14 volts DC with no load (other than charging the battery. If the voltage drops only when the deck is engaged but not when the lights are on it could be a connection to the mower clutch causing excessive current draw. I suggest covering the fundamentals such as ensure the battery is healthy, ensure all connections are clean and tight before condemning the stator. then and only then would I remove the flywheel to inspect the stator.

Sounds like you don't have compression! It could be many things a broken piston, one of the rocker arms could be loose, or you actually have a broken rocker arm.Dissassemble where the rocker arms are and check if everything is in working order if it is take off the spark plug and check if you can see the piston going up and down . Let me know how it goes so we can try and solve the problem!

crank cover gasket is bad replace

Sounds to me like the engine is not getting fuel. Check for clogged fuel line and check the fuel pump or a possible stuck needle valve in the carburetor. If it runs on starter fluid, it is not an ignition problem.

Briggs has recently upgraded the capacitors to 40 UF, 420V. Try ordering these from Preferred Power.

you have to drill the rivets out. If you're changing\rewinding the rope, you have to do it from the backside.Respringing it you'll have to change the whole thing, which is easier anyway. your local briggs dealer can order one for you, and after you drill the rivets out, the new one will come with little bolts and nuts.

If Robin / Subaru engine, try there.

Write down the model type and serial numbers, then pay a visit to local small engine repair shop and have them order for you.
