My WNSE4200A washing machine won't work. I will not even turn on. I believe it stopped working right after a snow storm that took my power lines down and broke the neutral. I'm looking for what the most likely problem would be. Thanks.

Re: My WNSE4200A washing machine won't work. I will
Could have kicked the breaker or if it has a lot of electronics could have blown a board or somthing. I've seen this happen in televisions. Check the breaker and start traceing the voltage back into the machine.

If your Frigidaire washingmachine
started spinning, but then stopped, verify that the power cord is still
connected to the outlet. See if the outlet blew by plugging in a
different appliance into the outlet. See if you blew a fuse. A blown
fuse usually is either black or has broken wires. Replace the fuse. If
you have a circuit breaker instead of a fuse box, reset the circuit
breaker if it's been tripped. Check the lid switch, which is located
inside the main housing of the washing machine, near the door frame. If
the switch is burned out, order a new part from a Frigidaire parts
The pump's sole responsibility
is to remove water during the spin cycle. If the pump isn't working
properly, see if it's clogged with debris or clothing. Use needle-nose
pliers to remove these items. Check the pump pulley, which is connected
to the pump. This component must move freely for the pump to work. If it
won't turn, purchase a new pump pulley since you can't usually fix this
Check the door latch assembly if
the door isn't closing correctly. If any of these components are
broken, order a new part from a Frigidaire parts dealer. If you do not,
won't start spinning since it believes the door isn't closed. Your
Frigidaire washing machine won't start the spin cycle until the lid or
door is closed. Always close the lid, and remove any items preventing
the lid from fully closing. Always close the dispenser drawer.
Never over- or under-load your
washing machine. Your Frigidaire washer may not enter the spin cycle if
the load is too large, since this can damage the washing machine. Remove
a few pieces of clothing. If the load is too small, add a few similar
items to the washing machine. Check the internal belt, drive motor and
motor coupling. If any of these components are broken or very worn, they
may not work properly, preventing the washer from entering the spin
cycle. Order replacement parts from a parts dealer. Check the tub and
basket bearings, and get new ones if the current ones have broken
components or are defective.
I assume you are saying the machine is working except the drums not turning? - you need to see if the belt has come off because thats what i would check first if you hear the motor start/stop after it fills up with water.
is the door glass hot when on dryer . can you hear the blower fan moving . if not get some one to remove top and see if blower fan is free (small black belt )turn appliance off at wall before removing top .if you still need help post again
I believe you are failing in spin cycle but that’s a wag without any error codes to go on.
With no error code it will require a bit more troubleshooting. If you start a Quick Wash cycle with minimal spin/soil settings I believe you will stop at the 21 min mark. Not sure what wash cycle you are in and Spin/Soil settings for that cycle but I believe this is the spin cycle of that wash cycle (34 min). I assume the washer did not pump out the water. The FAV6800A/FAV9800A is designed to start in the spin cycle with a fair amount of water in the wash tub so I assume you have water in the wash tub.You can enter Service Mode and turn on the drain pump to pump out the excess water.I’ll attach the process at the end of this post. Before we do that let’s gather some info for troubleshooting.I want you to do a Spin Only cycle with that wet wash load.Let me know if the Cycle completes. The FAV6800A/FAV9800A machines suffer from chronic clutch malfunctions which will cause failing in Spin Cycle usually with dC/uC unbalance errors. Can you complete a Spin Only cycle? My standard links for the DIY’er and can you let me know if you want to DIY the fix? Some folks can’t tolerate the down time and if you feel your aren’t qualified then I would recommend a qualified repair service.I’ll work with you until you decide to pull the plug on the DIY process. FAV6800A/FAV9800A Service Manual for reference.Sears Parts Direct for reference Pump out the excess water in the tub when failing in Spin Cycle; I would go to page 16 of the SM lower right hand part of page, Board Output Test and turn on the drain pump in service mode to pump out the tub. Enter Service Mode by simultaneously pressing and holding the Enviro Plus and Spin Only keys for three seconds or the display reads “00” Pressing the Delicates key will lock the lid. Now press the Presoak keythe drain pump will turn on. Stop with off button or hit the Presoak key. I’ll check back from time to time for your response. This board will not auto notify by e-mail of your response and most recently won’t let me post pics for troubleshooting support. If you are going to DIY and we have no error code to the display the next step is to remove the front cover of the machine start up a Spin Only cycle and see if the motor will turn the clutch pulley CCW.Just be careful of the belt and follow safety warnings in the Service Manual…..Rich If you want to work on this a bit quicker e-mail me at email@example.com
i believe i can help you,,but washers dont agitate in the spin cycle,,i believe you ment it wont wring or spin in the spin cycle..your lid switch is defective,,replace,,if need be i can talk you though,,onthejob
My washer did the same until i relalised that after the wash when light is flashing, turn control to stop position and wait until it stops flashing before turning machine off. Sometimes i have to turn control right around again for it to stop flashing but this is how it works.
