Double click the clock/time in the system tray in the lower right of your computer screen, then click on the time zone tab and select the eastern standard time zone and tick off the box in the lower left of that box for the automatically adjust for daylight saving time, then select apply in the bottom then ok...now recheck your time..it should now read the correct time.

Did anyone think about the CMOS clock in the BIOS ?

That is the primary time keeper for the system and windows clock tends to follow that and if the CMOS clock is off it cann affect indirectly such things as windows update.

Well done though Billl all the same

The "mode" button is there to change the function of the + & - buttons.

If you press the mode button several times you will cycle through the various setting features of the clock.

Look for the one that sets the time zone and use the + or - buttons to select your zone.

Some experimentation may be required!
