Question about Kenmore 14.8 cu. ft. Top Freezer Refrigerator with Factory-Installed Ice Maker
Try these steps.
See if you can hear the fan motor blowing when you open the freezer door. If not, you will have to remove the rear panel and check the motor. If burned out, replace with new.
If in the freezer compartment, look at the rear panel. If frost is building up, then the automatic defrost system has failed, and will need repaired.
If none of the above are an issue, check on the bottom rear of the machine with the cover removed. There is a condenser cooling fan motor located next to the compressor. If it is not running, then you will need to replace it.
If all the above items check O.K., then you have an issue with the compressor and sealed system, and a qualified tech will have to determine the problem.
Excellant tutorial on defrost systems. If that is your issue.
