SOURCE: hello, I have a Kenmore 580.75124500 ac/heater

It is probably the compressor. You will need to check if the compressor is being called to come on. Do you hear the compressor running? If you do, I would remove the unit from the wall or window, and wash it down real good with a hose being careful not to get the electronics wet. If not and the unit sound different than it did before, it's probably time to buy a new one.

I have a Kenmore model #58075184500 is it safe to cover the out side of unit when using heater?

No, it is NOT safe to cover the outside! When using an air conditioner as a heater, it basically just reverses it operation. If you have ever stood outside near the rear of the unit when the unit is cooling, you feel the heat it is exhausting. This is the heat removed from the room it was cooling. When you use the air conditioner to heat a room, you are essentially air conditioning (cooling) the outside world. The unit extracts whatever heat it can from the outside air and exhausts it into the room. Covering the outside of the unit prevents this from happening. It could cause failure or fire.

Can a pro recommend a comperable replacement wall AC only-no heat?

Most air conditioners now are reverse cycle, which means that they can heat as well as cool. Cooling only units were popular many years ago due to the price difference for a reverse cycle. Today, the cost of manufacturing has dropped and it has resulted in cooling only units being virtually finished. I would suggest you get a local air con sales company to come to your house to measure up properly and determine what would be best. There are a lot of factors in installing air conditioning. IE/ The size of the house, the area it will be required to heat / cool, the amount of windows, types of walls, roof etc (Heat loading on the house) Roof and wall insulation etc etc.

Hello, the coils can be cleaned with coil cleaner that is sold at any heating and cooling store, usually in a aerosol can. The inside of the AC can be cleaned with soap and water. They also sell a cleaner for mold at heating and cooling stores that can be used to get rid of the mold.

Kenmore air conditoner model 580.75151500 keeps blowing the built in breaker on the cord. Air conditioner is only about two years old. Happens no matter where I plug it in

Hi there. Clean the condenser. (the outside cooling coil where hot air comes out.) Use compressed air. If no air, try a vacuum.
    Thanks
