Intex filter lid problem

I have a 12' X 30" intex pool, and under the filter lid is a black peice of rubber stuff to keep the seal together, and it fell out of the slip that it was in. I am trying to figure out where I can get a new lid with the black peice installed correctly or if I can fix mine myself.

I have a 24' pool with the metal pole support system. The pump is working fine ,but I have to keep bleeding the air out.I do have both of the hoses dripping ,but that did not seem to bother the pump...

I would start with checking all connections between the suction at the pool all the way to the filter. Also I recommend that you check to see if the flow at the suction is full flow without obstructions. Your hoses should not be dripping, so I would recommend tightening to stop the leakage, if the leakage gets worse when you tighten that could be an indication of a bad seal or o-ring that should be replaced. As far as the lid goes, unless it is cracked you should not have to replace the lid, but may need to check the seal and replace if necessary.

I replaced the filter and now it leaks around the top, is there suppose to be a rubber seal? if so i cannot find it . where can i purchase one ?

Yes there should be a lid seal (large o-ring). chances are you it fell off at some point while you were carrying it. You should be able to buy a replacement at a local pool supply shop. best to look for a shop that specializes in above ground pools. If you have trouble a quick google search for "Krystal Clear Model 635 filter lid seal" will bring up a number of online sources where you can purchase one.

What is the screw or nob in the middle of the intex 530 gallon pump lid for.

That is an air release valve screw. After you fill you rpool with water - open this screw until water comes out then tighten until sealed firmly. Turn pump on.

This allows the air to be released from the pump chamber "priming" the water flow.

My rubber seal that fits over the filter lid tore in half, I guess my water is hard and sun deterioated it need to find replacement so water doesn't all leak out.

these o rings are model specific. you need to go to your local intex dealer with the model number, and they can supply. use a silicon based lubricant on the new ring, that will help preserve it. good luck!

New pool and keep getting code 90. intex sent a replacement system and I'm still getting code 90

code 90 indicating low flow.

Do you have a good flow from inlet to outlet? You should be shooting a pretty good stream (wave form) across the pool. You can remove the filter from the pump and run it without to see if you eliminate the error. if that works you've got some gummy filters going on that require cleaning or replacing. (daily in my case) If the error persists check the flow sensor on the chorinator. Be sure the direction is correct, the water coming into the chlorinator follows the direction on the electrolytic plate box. (usually there is arrow on this. Other thing is, how loud is the system? Are you hearing lots of air entering the intake of the pump? This can lead to air lock on the pump and little to no flow in the system. If so, bleed the air of using the relief valves at the top of the filter and at the input of the filter. Also listen to ensure that the inlet at the pool is not allowing air to be sucked into the lines. This can be due to a loose connection or bad gasket at the inlet valve of the pool.

How do I hook my 633T intex pump to my 15'x42" pool? The strainers do not attach to the black things inside the pool.

We just cut the holes bigger in the side of the pool, it works great now. Just got to make sure you do not cut it to big! I do nnot understand why they can"t make it standard.

Hope this helps!!!!!!

My model 603 filter pump leaks at the top under cap

It could be the o-ring on this model. There is a seal on these pool filters that looks like a rubber ring inside the lid. You might need to replace this ring if your pump is leaking here.

New Intex FP621 4000 Pool Pump Noisy

I have a 16 x 48 intex pool with the 1inch inlet and outlet. I purchased the intex 4000 pump. The attachments are too big for the inlet and outlet so i then purchased the adapters. The plungers are very noisy and allow air to get into the pump. I removed them and hooked the hoses up to the adapters directly. That worked as long as the adapters were new. This year the seal comes loose and allows air to get into the pump. I even tried allowing the top nut to be loose to allow air to escape. This year nothing works. The pump is just too strong for the holes. I was considering cutting the holes bigger and glueing seals on there but i was concerned about creating weak spots in the pool. I am tired of spending money on it so i did the redneck thing. I can say that because well, you might consider me one. I took the inlet hose off the connector and plugged the hole with one of those little black things. I took the hose and run it up through the hole in between the liner and the poles and down into the pool. If you run it over the top it will not work correctly. Take the hose and tie them together between the two sides as best you can to keep the hose in the pool. If you look at the smaller intex pools that dont have holes, that is how they have the pump hooked to the pool. VOILA! You have an airtight inlet to the pump. You do not need to do that to the outlet because its not sucking water its just pushing it. So, just hook the hose up as you wish. When you need to clean the filter, I put wash clothes in the hoses to plug them and voila. No air gets into the filter. Done! It is actually keeping my pool clean this year. Also, i purchased one of those aqua vacuums and it does work great for this pool. Once you get the big stuff, sweep it with a pool broom and the filter will do its job. You can vacuum these pools with the filter type pumps. Next time, i will purchase a sand filter and be done with it. Happy swimming with less work.
