Not familiar with that model but what I would try is to turn off the copier remove the glass and try moving it by hand, then turn it on and see what happens it may have a bad motor

My Canon MG8120 all-in-one makes a loud noise when copying (not when printing). How do I fix it?

Dear
from the question I understand, the scanner move to right and during return it starts noise.

The problem with scanner assembly, It might be dust accumulated on gears, the scanner belt might have loose or the grips of the belt has worn out. Proper cleaning and lubricating the moving parts may overcome also if the belt worn out it has to be replaced.
In case of at home position it gives noise then the home position sensor may dirty/dusty, it has to be cleaned.

thanks.

Engine screeches when running. revving the motor makes it stop momentarily

Could be a belt screeching. Fan belt, A/C belt, Serpentine Belt, alternator belt, etc. Easiest way to isolate which belt is to open the hood and use your ears to see where the screeching is coming from. Left, right, front, behind the engine? Spray some WD-40 on the belt you think is making noise and if it quiets right away, then that is the belt making the noise. Either the tensioner needs adjusting or the belt needs replacing. The WD-40 does not hurt the car, it'll start screeching again in a few days when it wears off.

2006 Chrysler sebring High Pitch Noise Screeching Sound

The belt is slipping or the compressor and/or clutch is bad.
If the compressor won't turn freely with the engine off, it may be locked up which will make the belt screech.

Scanner won't scan. the light is on but the scanner part won't move. makes a lot of noise. the belt is not brokern

depending on the scanner the belt may not be broken, however the gear that it rides on may not be moving, or the belt is slipping. Some scanners the glass can be removed for you to visially see the gear and evaluate from there

There are 3 belts on the truck (1994 V6, 4wd). The belt that goes around the alternator was not spinning and there was a loud screeching noise. I cut the alternator belt to see what the truck would do with...

The pulleys may be out of alignment due to a bent or misinstalled alternator bracket. the alternator itself may be pulling so much current that the belt is slipping on its pulley. (might be why the other alternator failed. Check the battery voltage with everything turned off and see if you have a parasitic battery drain.) The bearing for the idler pulley (if equipped) could be failing.

Please call your local servicer for better problem diagnosis. It might be an issue with the printer's printing mechanism.

When I try to make a copy the machine make a screeching noise and a blank copy comes out.

Leave the lid up when you make the copy and see if the light bar moves from left to right when copying. Check the scanner lock knob under the left hand side where the papers come out. Make sure it is not locked. Sometimes the scanners get stuck a lot and can cause blank copies. If it is stuck then you just have to remove the glass and then clean and lubricate the steel bar at the back that the whole unit rides back and forth on. Once that is doene it should work fine. Make sure to manually run the scanner bar out and back a few times so that you can get the whole rail lubricated. Do all this with the power turned off.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

My Ricoh FT3713 is making a loud screeching noise when it makes a copy can you help me?

The scanner sometimes does that. If you put a copy on the glass and keep the cover opened, does it seem to happen in time with the scanner sliding back and forth?
If so, you could remove the glass and put a little oil on the rails.
