Chatting was easy on facebook but now it has rather become a problem as I'm unable to chat and it shows that all my friends are offline even if they are not what to do?

This is Facebook's new chat feature which only shows people you talk to often on the chat list and not your full friends list. There is really nothing you can do about it but if you have a friend in mind specifically you can always use its integrated search feature and talk to him there.

The friend you are chatting with will get offline, thats why your message is not sending, just wait for him to come online again and your message will easily be sent.

this is a common problem ith the facebook chat facility.i suggest you write on your friends walls and tell them to initiate the chat.

Chat should be in the lower right-hand corner. Just click on it and a list will pop up. Click on the friend you want to chat with.

there is this little switch kind of a thing near the (other friends tab at the right button .
slide it till it turns green .
