My Amana PTAC PTC153B00AM has no power at all. It is wall plugged, but no lights come on on the board. It was working fine and showed no signs of going bad. Can this be a blown fuse or transformer?

Check the GFI plug where it plugs into the wall and reset it. Also, plug something else into that plug to make sure you didn't pop the circuit breaker

Charger won't charge just power light comes on no output!!

That looks pretty old to me. There can be several things wrong with it. It might have bad diodes, bad regulator or bad transformer. If you dont have test equipment, it will be hard to tell

Power doest not come on

Assuming ,that the outlet that you plugged your cd player in is working properlly.Try taking the cover to the cd player off. There should be a fuse, somewhere on the circuit board. Check to see if the fuse is blown. If it is replace the fuse, with the same type fuse. There should be writing on the metal part of the fuse, which will tell you the voltage,an amperage of the fuse. If it is blown, take the fuse to a Radio Shack store, they'll be able to match up the fuse for you. There might be more than one fuse, on the circuit board. Also, are you plugging the cd player into a G.F.I. outlet? The outlet could be tripped. If it is, hit the reset button. This should reset power to the outlet. There might be other outlet's that are wired into the G.F.I. If the G.F.I. is tripped then those outlet's won't work until you hit the reset button.

Aquabot wont pump or move, intermmittent

Well either you have a jammed up motor, or a bad motor, or the Controller unit has faulted.
Above is a manual, this should help you it has exploded diagrams to help. There seem to be many ways that it could get tangled up, or maybe the belt has come off, any way it's about time to A: Get a screwdriver, or B: Call a service man....

Powered Subwoofer repair--- Transformer issues?

Well yes transformers do fail and the transformer does say it has an internal fuse fitted which might have failed. The fuse on the board blowing is an indication of overload. The fact it didn't blow again shows that it is not getting any power or the fault has gone (doubtfull).
I doubt the transformer is a step up. But follow the circuit on the pc board till you come to electroytic capicator. This will have a voltage on it. The power level will be no more and perhaps less than the voltage on the capacitor. Another clue to the power level is if the secondary wires are narrower than those that go to the mains. That will indicate that less voltage comes out.
OK what to do. Well most makers say that the transformer is a safety item so it has to be replaced with the same type or one which is approved by the maker. So you can either contact the maker direct or find a service center, (for the brand) which might order you a replacement, or take the transformer to Radio Shack with details of the model number of the Sub, and see if they can get it for you. While there have a look at the multimeters. You should find one that will help you for all your future needs. I recomend one with a scale (rather than a digital). They are some around for £10 to £20 (I know you live in the USA but you can convert it) that will do what you might need it for.
The first thing to do if you get a meter is check with the ohm setting diodes or bridge rectifiers for shorts. IE: as if you had touch both probes together! Also do the same with any transitors you might find. As this could be the cause of the fuse blowing, and even the transformer's failure.

No power, display lights nothing seems to light up, not sure, there is power in the unit though?

Check power into and out of the transformer. You should have either 115 or 230 VAC in and 24 VAC out. If no power out but power in, replace the transformer. If no power in look for tripped GFI, breaker, etc.

I've got 2 additions to my house; power to both went out last week. I have a tick tracer that I want to use to isolate which line from my panel goes to those additions (bathrooms) and is causing the dead...

If you have power out in parts of your house, look for a breaker or breakers that is/are tripped or if you have a fuse box, look there for blown fuse.

If no breakers are tripped, there is the possibility that you have a GFI in the circuit. Look for the GFI (google GFI if you dont know what im talking about) and reset it.

If an amp probe is what I think it is, it measures the amount of current going through a particular wire at a particular moment. If your power is OFF, or if you are not using any power on a particular line, the reading will be zero. I think you might be wasting your time with this tool.

If I misunderstood your question, please ask me again so I can try to answer again.

B&d hedge cutters not working

You probably tripped a breaker when you cut the wire. You may be plugged into a circuit that is also GFI protected. Check the breaker and reset if necessary. Also check the outlet (plug a light or something else to determine this) to assure there is power there. If the breaker is on and there is no power - start looking for a GFI. There should be a reset button the GFI (A GFI looks like a regular outlet only rectangular - it has a very sensitive trip device inside. A GFI can protect other ourlets ... so don't stop looking at the place you are plugged in.
