SOURCE: i just got a jvc

This seems that the unit switches off due to a protect cut off. It is not so easy to probe into to find a protection fault condition. The fault can be your output drivers- the MOSFETS/IC's fitted for both the channels, Use a meter after disconnecting to check for short in the drivers. Disconnect the positive and negative voltages to the output and see if the protect changes. Even a fault in the preamp stages that drives in high current into the output can shut the Amplifier. Sometimes this can be a noise like a HUM or HISS before the protect works. Faulty capacitors in these circuits also can cause similar issues and needs close observation.
You need to confirm and replace the specific stages or outputs. If not there can be issues in the mother board, maybe the protect circuit by itself is shutting off due to a faulty bias , maybe a leak in any voltage/current sensing circuit. Also disconnect the speakers and test, if the protect is off then check for short on the speakers.

Hello
this could be a power fault, but first check the power plug if it is in contact with the power socket and if it is then you have to open the back cover of the system to check the fuses if blown resistor, capacitor and transistor with the use of a multimeter to check for back component and if bad replace faulty ones.
Then power on to confirm, if not on then take it to the manufacturer or a skilled personnel to handle it

I had the same problem with a jvc stereo set, it turned out the two cables of a speaker were touching each other.

My jvc hx-d7 radio is turned on in 2 seconds it shuts down to protect mode how do i take protect off ?

You can't. The main amplifier module will probably have a channel blown. The unit is detecting this and tripping into protect mode to stop further damage occurring. Needs to go to a repair place. sorry. ps If you get sound briefly before it trips off then it may just be a speaker wire shorting out! worth checking

I have JVCD HX-D7 system. The'Protect'message appears when i turn it on. The'protect' message appears and the system turns off please help

I had the same problem, it could be that there are a number of different problems that cause this error code. I noticed my unit was extremely hot even when it was turned off. Try unplugging it for half a day and see if it works then, maybe only for a short while. If it's just overheating get a larger system ($10) fan (may need to drill some new holes to mount it) and flip it so it blows into the heatsink area for the amps. Drill a series of holes in the upper casing for proper air flow. you may see the amps are scorched as well they need to be replaced (easy) for about $40 for the pair.
