A maiden name is the last name used by a woman before changing her name upon marriage. Some people prefer to use the term "birth name." As a general rule, a woman's maiden name is her father's last name, reflecting the patrilineal system of descent which dominates many cultures.

In facebook, top right you'll see a little icon dropdown arrow, click that and then click "Settings". from there select in the window that comes up "Name" either by clicking name or the edit button. There you will see where you can back out current name and add your new name. remember to click Save changes - sometimes it takes a few minutes for the change to take place on facebook's side.

First and foremost, you are going to change your status first. You need the following:
1. Marriage certificate;
2. Marriage contract

To apply for passport you should bring the following:
1. Changed status - Marriage contract and marriage license
2. Birth Certificate of Live Birth

And the rest will follow like the NBI, id's and so on. This requirements are useful If you insist to get passport with a change of status. But if not forget everything just bring your birth certificate.

login facebook go to account then account settings you will see it you can now edit your name and last name

hi! click on account and then click and then click on account settings, youll see name, on the right side youll see change. and your good to go! hope this helps! goodluck!

On the right hand corner of your facebook page you will see the account tab. Please click in the following sequence : Account - Account Settings - Name - Change - Last name .Here you have to change your last name to your maiden name. It will take approx 24 hours for changes to take effect as per FB guidelines.
