I and a couple more had the exact same problem
It most surley has to do with outdated drivers for your graphics card (mine was nVidia)

DO NOT touch DirectX UNLESS "Microsft Update" wants to!!!

"Microsoft Update" however did not for me or the others have the latest driver available, so you'll have to locate them yourself from the graphic-card vendor.

I have never been able to watch utube videos on my

You can't watch a youtube video - the screen says "You either have javascript turned off or your Adobe Flash is too old" or such like. First, go to Tools at top of page, then scroll down to Internet Options, click Security heading and go to Custom Level. In there, scroll down til you come to the section for Active Script. Make sure your setting for running script is Enabled. If this is the problem, you enable it, restart your computer and away you go!

Hi alimon_vm,
Click on the link below for the Intel motherboard D845GBV.*+XP+Home+Edition&lang=eng&strOSs=45&submit=Go%21 Choose your operating system.
(For windows XP systems)
Scroll down to number 12. Click the link below to open the manual.
You will need Adobe PDF reader to view the manual. If you do not have Adobe, click on the next link. Download & install Adobe.
The manual will show you how to connect your devices & set the bios settings. (This is a must needed item for connecting MB & devices). If you never installed a motherboard into a case before, suggest you check out a uTube video of how too!.

uTube can help you install just about anything. Video is a must if this is your first install & need the finer details.
Good luck alimon_vm!

32 in ILO tv, goes blank

Usually the blue screen is an indication that the video signal to the TV is not present. Most of the new TV's have a video input selection button on the TV and on the remote; try changing the video input selection.
