The element should read between 10 to 35 ohms. What did your test reveal???

Hello there; Still waiting on your test results. I will need the test results to determine which part you will need to replace. You have stated you have done everything in the video I posted. You should have these test results, if this is the case. I need to know what the element ratings are, as well, as the hi limit thermostat ratings as well. I will also need you to report the state of the door lock latch assembly and the latch plate. They must be in good condition and well aligned. The door must close tightly and securely before the element will be able to become energized. I will also need the wiring report. All connecting wiring must be connected, properly, to every corresponding component. Check all wiring connections.

    • NOTE_ You will need a multimeter to preform the necessary testing needed. It must read ohms and be set to the X1 setting.

DWF 415 Ikea Whirlpool Dishwasher has constant green blinking light. Drain pump works ok (as it will pump out a jug of water if I tip it into it!) but no water comes in. Cycle stops about 30 seconds after...

Anyone got an answer to this, as I have exactly the same fault.

Dishwasher appears to switch on OK, then after a short time (20 secs?) the pump noise stops and the green light flashes - it seems to e a sequence of 7 flashes, then stop... 7 flashed then stop.

The sequence could indicate a fault detected?

Anyone know anything about these units from IKEA, made by Whirlpool?

Thanks!

My Whirlpool DU1145XTP won't turn on. Clean light

Check the themistor in the control panel. Radio Shack sells these for about $1.30 each. I replaced the one in my dishwasher three years ago and have had no issues since.

The "clean" button is flashing & none of the other cycles work.

heated dry and high temp wash
toggle till all the lights light up
then hit cancel
you should be able to turn dishwasher back on
you probably have a bad heater
is it flashing 7 times
take kick panel off and look to the rear of the dishwasher
is anything burned
if the clean light keeps blinking replace your heater

Mod #gu2500xtpb1 clean light flashes 7 times

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. If the clean light flashes 7 times, pauses, then repeats--

When the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it stops working and locks the functions (clean light flashes 7 times, all buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water.

To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence--

-high temp wash
-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry

All the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cyle finish (1-2 minutes). You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal.

If the issue returns, you could have a problem with the heating circuit (ie. element, thermostat or wiring). It rarely happens but it could also be the door switch not engaging properly when the door is closed (slightly bend the door latch down making sure it doesn't hit the door when you close it).

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Actually, the button order to put it in a diagnostic cycle and clear the blinking clean light on the gu2500 is HEATED DRY, NORMAL, HEATED DRY, NORMAL not the other way around as Iden had posted.
