Hi Arthur -
If by "double-image" you mean that you see multiple identical images printed, but each is slightly offset and appear in yellow, magenta, or cyan ink colors, then it seems like the card is slipping within the printer as it prints. These printers print 1 color at a time, with a total of 5 passes to complete 1 card image - 1 pass each for the yellow, magenta, cyan, black & clear overlay panels of a standard YMCKO ribbon. If the card doesn't get positioned properly for each new panel on the ribbon, then the subsequent image will have a slight offset to it.
The fix could be as simple as a thorough cleaning - with supplies from a Fargo dealer (like us!) that are appropriate for that model. It could also be that the printer requires a ribbon-sensor calibration. To do this, you could need to download the Fargo Workbench Utility program from the HID Global website here: (
Drivers Downloads) . There is a "Printer Information" view in this utility, and then a "Test" you can run called "Ribbon Calibration" - do it regardless of the cleaning.
If still not resolved, contact us or your Fargo dealer for further support.
