Check your filter to see if its clean, and also move your thermostat sensing bulb in front of the front cooling coil in front of your filter, this cold be a sign as weakening thermostat sensing bulb, if all else fail, replace it.Thank-you-very-much!

SOURCE: Sharp cv-10nh not cooling

I wouldn't recommend servicing this yourself unless you are an air conditioner repair person by trade. If the unit is five years old or less Sharp covers the parts-----you pay the labor for the repair. There is a manufacture code on the unit that will indicate when it was made anyways if you don't have your original bill of sale. If the unit is within its first five years of life you would need to take it to a Sharp authorized service center. If you do not have a receipt you will need to get a proof of purchase letter from Sharp. If the unit is older than five years you can take it to any repair person but it might be cheaper to purchase another unit.

Most of these devices have condensate pans that need to be emptied. these can and will shutoff the unit when they become full. i would start to look low in the front maybe behind a removable panel. good luck.

If you don't have Owner's manual and troubleshooting inside. Perhaps It will not operate without the remote?

Dominic,

My only solution is to take the unit in for warranty service. The cooled air has a musty smell to it, too. Does yours? And did you get this issue resolved?

Unit keeps shutting off and blinking all three lights.

When what you described occurs, it's an indication that the water collection tank is FULL and needs to be drained, before normal operation will continue.

In case you have misplaced the Owner's Manual to your unit, I have included a link to it that you can download & print for future reference . http://www.sharpusa.com/CustomerSupport/search.aspx?q=CV-P10MX

I hope this helped you & thanks for choosing FixYa.

I love my Sharp CV-10MH Portable Air Conditioner but I'm afraid to use it. After a while it starts to make a noise I'd describe as a CLATTER or a RATTLE. Before I use it again I must know that this is not...

I had the same issue of filling up after a couple hours but mine started making some pretty loud noises as well just before shutting itself down and lighting all three lights. The top drain valve would no longer work and the only way I could drain it was through the bottom (gravity) drain valve. I took the unit apart and found that the simple water pump that is used for draining and the evaporating process had lost the thin filter screen on the bottom and the screen became lodged in the impeller of the pump preventing it from spinning. I removed the worn and broken plastic screen, carefully pushed the impeller back up on the shaft until it bottomed out, and cleaned all the built up sediment off the entire pump. After reassembling everything, the ac unit runs like new again and the noise is completely gone. Cost? $0
I imagine you can just order a new pump from sharp and save the time and effort of cleaning the pump.
Hope this helps!
