If it won't spin you could have a broken lid switch or a broken motor coupling.lift the lid up around two inches and close it a few times,if you don't hear the switch clicking the lid switch is broke and needs to be replaced.if that seems ok i would check the motor coupling, take out the two screws that hold down the top console, flip the console up,unplug the lid switch harness in the middle or a little to the right of the middle and with a screw driver pop the two metal clips, one on the right and one on left side of top and then you can remove the frame of the washer.on the bottom remove the two clips on the pump and move the pump out of the way,now take out the two screws and pop the two clips and remove the motor,on the back of the motor you'll see the coupling, the other half is on the tranny,if any of the six arms that interlock with the rubber piece are broken that's your more thing, you say it won't rinse allwashers rinse with cold water the water valve could be humming and not letting any water come in,i just don't understand what you're asking about time send the model number and let me know if any of this helps.good luck

GE washer wont rinse, drain or spin. Makes buzzing noise

You didn't say which model it is, but by now I assume you know about the small trap at the bottom of the newer ones? On 2007 and back, you have to remove 3 or 4 screws on the bottom panel. You'll see the rubber stopper screwed in.

Have a pan under it capable of holding at least a quart of water. There will be all kinds of stuff in there.

If that isn't it, you may have a bad control panel.

Frigidaire top load washer won't rinse

this can be two issues. One could be the control knob. there could be a malfunction here. secondly, you may have a faulty water valve assembly. the relay or solenoid may need to be replaced. i would start with the control knob.

Washing machine making a clicking noise.

The problem most likely is something stuck in the water port of the drain pump. My machiine would not empty once and I found a 12 penny nail that had made its way from the drum though the drain line to the the pump, where it was wedged against the impellers that spins to draw out the water through the pump. The pump is located in the front right bottom of the machine and accessible by reoving the lower front panel, It is held in place by 4 small screws and is connected to the drain lines. Disconnect the plug for the outlet, then disconnect the power connection from the pump. Disconnect the drainlines after removing as much water possible from the drum as the water will come out of these liines when you remove them. Remove the pump, open the cover to see the impeller and hopefully the bobby pin, nail, screw, or whatever else is stuck there will be visible and easily removed. Put the pump cover back on, replace the drain lines and screws, and reconnect the power connection to the pump. Then do a better job checking your pockets.
