Question about Maytag PYE2300AY Electric Dryer
Hi,If I keep my fingers pressed on the start button it will work if not it wont.I was wondering if I just put a piese of tape to hold it down if thats ok or is it dangerous. At first it would run for a few minutes then I would have to press it again now it doesn't start I have to keep my fingeers on it(pressed)could I just put a piese of tape on the start button,Or is that dangerous?
That is VERY DANGEROUS.............I would NOT recommend doing that under any circumstances.........it could be a safety device that is keeping the start button from working in order to keep it from shorting out.............
also, it could be the start button itself but, it is not worth the chance that it could catch fire.
