Hello Warren !

What happened is that when you replace the router, the IP Address for your printer changed as well. Your network printer connects to your computer through a number called the "IP address" wich is assigned by your router, since you replace your router, the new router assign a new Ip address for the printer, so you will need to change that IP address on the printer driver on your computer as well.

What you need to do is print a configuration report directly from the printer to figure out what the new IP.
When you have this number ( it will look something like "")
you need to go to "printer and faxes" under control panel, make a right click on the MFC-465 icon, go to properties, then go to the ports tab a click on "Add Port" select Standard TCP/IP and type in the new ip address.

This should reentablish the communication between your printer and computer.

Good Luck

I had an issue with getting my MFC 465CN to print over a network, did some digging online and found that Brother has a Network Connection Repair Tool. I down loaded it and it worked.

Reset ESI 2833 until red light turned green. Network Printer still not responding

Check the IP Address of the 2833. I believe there is a gray button you can depress to print out a configuration sheet. If the wireless modem was also your router, you may have a different IP address range and will need to set the 2833 accordingly.

Lost my network printer connection

creating the network again would probably solve the issue with it because now you are changing up the hardware for the router. so you will have to set the permissons on the router and the permisons on the comuter to allow the connection to the printer the print share network.

looks to me you have the awnser to your own issue, if you list the router model and what operating system you are running I can give you a more indepth break down.

After router change my kodak esp9250 will not go on network

The printer is no longer on your network. Likely it was configured with a static, (which means it does not change,) Local IP address. Not all Router MFRs use the same "default" Local IP these two likely are different.

You need to bring the printer into your network. You should be able to reprogram it from the printer's menu(s) using the User Guide.

Here is a Flash-based walk-through on how to setup your printer on the network wirelessly.....if you want.

No longer works wirelessly like it used to. Any ideas?

Any change on your wireless router could mess it up.I would reset the configuration and set it up again. Make sure the SSID is correct and that you create a static ip address (don't use DHCP)
From the menu you should be able to see the wireless networks it can see. Not sure the brand or model of the printer you are using but most I have worked with allow you to see wireless networks.
Best of luck

You will need to reset the printer's wireless network adapter then reconfigure it with your new wireless network settings. On the printer's operator panel, press Setup button > Network Setup > Reset Network Adapter > hit Ok. The Wifi light will momentarily turn off then will turn on orange. Once you have that, run the Lexmark wireless setup utility on your computer to configure the printer with your new wireless network settings. Thanks.

Network printer - no network

If you are no longer on that network that the printer is on and you can' t configure the router, setting up this printer will be next to impossible. If you know the network administrator, you might be able to work something out with the IT department if you explain you need it for a work related function

Accessing router

if you have changed the ip address of the pc that is connected to the router, then the router can no longer see the pc because you have changed it manually, you need to change the router back to DHCP enabled to allocate ip addresses automatically and change the properties of your network card to obtain ip address automatically. This way all the pc's will be given ip address to share the network.
