Question about Ungo K20 Remote Keyless Entry with GDI & Multiple Vehicle Operation

2 Answers

Can the Ungo K20 be used in a vintage car to engage 40lb. actuators to open the doors? No other functions of the remote are needed.

I wired the red wire to constant hot +, the black to gruond -, the black/blue to the left door actuator, and the blue to the right door actuator.

The remote key fob device sends a signal to the receiver but the receiver does not send output to the blue or black/blue wires.

Do other wires have to be hooked up for the receiver to function properly?

I already have the manuals but they do not clearly coer how to wire the system to perform only one task.

Hello,

If the only purpose would be for the actuators to open the doors I believe that won't be a problem at all, since the built of these vintage cars might be a little different and other features of the the remote might not function.. =)

The drivers side door lock will not actuate with the remote or the interior switch. The key will open and close the door. All other door locks function properly with remote and interior switch.

Suspect a defective door lock motor/actuator inside the door. The door will have to come apart to test for proper ground and power supply to determine if motor/actuator is bad.

If you have replaced the batteries in you remote(s), and you can hear the locks attempting to work, your door lock actuator(s) maybe faulty. The actuators are not expensive, but the labor to have them installed can be.

Honda odyssey door lock driver side

Pop off the door panels & remove the plastic film. There's a white plastic actuator attached to the lock. You can test for voltage from the connector, but unlikely that's the problem. My symptom was the actuator was moving but not actually locking. It turned out mine was loose and I fixed mine by just reattaching the actuator. There's several screws holding it in there and mine came loose. Use lock-tite because it came loose a second time. If the motor isn't functioning then if you disassemble the actuator you might be able to search on EBay for a motor - the rear tailgate uses a Mabuchi. Otherwise you will need to replace the actuator. The rear one is about $80 online.

Sounds like the electric actuator is not connected inside the door.

Automatic Doors won't function-How do I fix or what could be the problem

The door doesn't open with the remote or the in-car switch? I'd check the fuse, then check for power to the door actuator when the button is pressed. If there is power at the door actuator then I'd suspect a bad actuator motor. If there isn't power, please post back and I'll put my thinking cap on.

That sounds more like the lock actuator inside the door is bad since it does not function in any mode. You can call a dealer to ask about the possibility of a remote reset. Is this a Mini Cooper? It is listed under mini but I would think they would use the full name.If the remote can't be done and you want to self-repair,just comment to this post and I will get an auto link and I will try to describe how to get inside your door.Good luck! Did these doors quit at the same time or over a period. It seems that the actuators for the locks have gone bad. With the mentioned doors, that's a lot weight for the actuators to unlock and pop open. With the remotes and console not working , that's more reason to think the actuators are the problem.

05 Honda accord remote not working doorlocks

Your door actuators are out and will need to be replaced. This is a common problem . My 03 has this issue too. Actuators are about $70 each. I would recommend finding a good stereo shop to install them instead of the dealer since stereo shops deal with removal of door panels and actuator installs day in and out.
